hello mate As a fireman myself i know you can get smoke alarms for the hearing impaired which are louder and have flashy lights on it...call your local firestation im sure they will be happy to supply and fit one free of charge,,or fit you a normal one in your room...or you could tell your family to give you a kick lol scotty

hello all my lurcher dog has had a problem with one of his inner front toes for about a year now.....every time he has a hard run it swells up to double the size took him to a vet when it first happened and the vet said rest it and i did as it may be a fracture(no xray) but now the toe is permanantly swollen and really hard as if it is callused but still gives him grief when running,,,,,has anyone had an inner toe rremoved ? he is still keen as mustard and dont want to end his career short but dont want him in pain any advice please scotty

cant believe some arseholes treet dogs like that.... get some wound powder mate helps dry cuts up and keeps it clean plenty of soft foods and fluids and try some electrolyte poder also.. good luck and hope he gets back to normal mate scotty -

alright socks..i didnt get it done in the end i was told to let it heal naturally from a number of people,,so i rested him for a good while after the winter but after a good run it swells up again,,so im resorting to plan A .. cheers scotty
