  6. Meindls everytime mate le chameau boots are soft as f**k u'll end up needing new ones in a matter of months
  7. its cos Le Chameau boots suck they are soft as hell far better with meindls every time take a bit longer to break in but loads longer lasting
  8. If i was u mate i wudnt touch a landrover with a barge pole but if u have ur heart set on one i would go fir the 300tdi its a far better engine than the td5 and doesnt have all that electronic bullshit cos if theres one thing that landrover cant do its electics and electronics! The trouble u might have is finding one in good nick as its quite a long time since the last ones were made! Personally i wud go for something jap far more for ur money and nicer to drive and more reliable.
  9. Landrovers shudnt have stuck to making landrovers the defender models for the last 10 years have sucked too they are masivly oiverpriced vehicles for what u pay for them and are badly made with shocking aftersales service of course die hard landrover fans will still buy them and for off road ability i admit there is nothing that is quite as good but for the price of a new defender u cud buy a hilux and a quad for the back and have the best of everything! lol
  10. 1/2 greyhound, 1/4 bull, 1/4 German wirehaired pointer shit hot nose eyesight, nose and has the balls and drive to tackle anything mine does!
  11. For ultimate long-range accuracy you'll need the Norma 6mm BR. It is not the same chambering as the Remington 6mmbr; Norma developed a special bullet, longer than the 6mmbr, to get the highest possible BC. So if that's your choice you'll need a 28" Pacmor barrel. As consolation you can try to emulate the American 1000yd bench shooters who can put 25 successive rounds in a 3" group. 0.3deg. MOA at 1000yds. Dial in the drop and windage put the crosshairs on Charley's chest. Job done. Then the ultimate deranged varmint buster is the 5mm/35 SMC. This uses a 6mm br case necked down to 5mm/.204
  12. Yeah i totally agree there is plenty options and superb performance with many of the factory calibres especially with home loading but why not try to achieve the best possible performance there is. And as danebrewer said it sometimes nice to have something a little different! Where would man be if we didnt push things to the absoloute limit! Yeah super fast shooting rounds burn out barrels but they will also burn out a lot of shit on the way!
  13. Hi everyone i was looking at getting a new vermin rifle built and everyone seems to have their own opinion on calibres whats everyones opinion on the 6mm PPC, 6mm BR, 6-284 and the .243 Middlestead as these were the ones I was looking at? All advice would be greatly recieved!
  14. If u get one mate i bet you wont regret it all beretta autos are amazingly reliable i know of loads of guys that have ones that are 30+ years old and have never needed any new bits and have never let them down and that is rough use everyday! The extrema 2 is unlikely to be any different i would recomend the extrema 2 rather than the extrema 1 as to me it feels a lot fleeter to and the stock seems slightly shorter but thats just my opinion! Make sure u get all the bits u need to handle different weights of cartridges as it is all adjusted within the stock to suit whether ur shooting normal weig
  15. I'd rather be scared to death than board to death. Remember pain is just fear leaving the body!

  16. Iv been trying to upload pictures but it keeps coming up with no image selected when i have selected what pictures i want from the browser. Any suggestions people? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  17. Why does everyone insist on using .308 for deer in most situations its totally overkill, a horible calibre to shoot and drops like a stone! If u really want to throw a heavy bullet around why not go for something like a 25-06. Roe deer and munjac etc certainly dont need a .308 for a clean kill people shouldnt compensate for their bad shooting by using a massive round that they only have to put in the middle of the big brown bit and pull the trigger.
  18. I have tried loads of boots but keep going back to Meindls i have a pair of Glockners that have done 4 grouse seasons plus wearing them most days and are still going strong they hjave a really solid sole so are great for digging and also have a pair of Douvres that have given no problems so far. The antarktikas are also a really good boot especially for colder weather. Le Chameaus are soft as f**k they fall to bits with hard use.
  19. If [bANNED TEXT] dont like taping half a plant pot onto the bottom of the lamp put a sunshade or two onto the objective lens of the scope which will shade the lens and eliminate glare. It sounds a little rough but i have used and know a few keepers who tape the narrow type of tractor PTO guard onto the end so the scope end is closer to the end of [bANNED TEXT] moderator. Believe it or not this is quite secure and doesnt look too bad.
  20. The 391 wond take 3 1/2 inch shells but the xtreama 2 does as does the benelli black eagle i have a 391 and a benelli and personally shoot better the benelli but everyone id different! The only thing i wud say is benellis are recoil operated oposed to the gas operated beretta so there is possibly less to go wrong having said that they are known to be some of the most reliable autos in the world so i would try both and see which one feels best for u.
  21. No most scopes have different treads cos i was trying to get an extra one for my nightforce and tried loads of different ones but only the genuine nightforce one fitted properly.
  22. Its not a total waste of time but cheap stuff is. U have to be using gen 2+ or higher to make it worth while. To make it really efficient u need to have a thermal imager, goggles and a scope otherwise ur as well using a lamp and filters for anthing touchy.
  23. The place i used to work had 4 honda foremans and a yamaha grizzly all with the same tyres and the hondas pissed all over the grizzly every time far more sure footed and stable on the hill with better grip and far lighter to lift out when u got stuck and all! Just never go for one with the button shift just something else to go wrong and u need ur left hand free for holding the auto anyway! lol. Kawasakis are by far the worst bikes on the market dont touch them with a barge pole!
