  4. Ive had s few 4x4 over the years Landrover 110 and Landrover 90 Discovery a honda quad which was great until It came to shooting foxes on a cold night now on a L200 but without a doubt for off road work the best I ever had was a Suzuki sj413 1300 cc engine 5 speed box like a bloody idiot i sold it and bought a landrover big big mistake. For carrying dogs round shoot lamping foxes and general shoot work the sj413 was unbeatable.
  5. Hi Biglee 1 I used a length of old conveyer belt cut to size it lasted for years until terriers got started on it , if you can get a hold of the clear plastic they use on warehoue/factory doors the type that hangs in long strips , when cut to size is really good . There are some on various kennel manufaturers web pages ,some are a bit expesive . Good hunting. Hoolit
  6. Nighthunter they also said they would revue the situation again in 2014.You cant trust any politition ever. I will have to do it to keep and extend the land I stalk even although it goes against the things i beleive in like experiance and profesionalism come before bits of paper. Ignore the bad spelling. 12. When out on a wee wander round one of the parcels of land I look after doing a bit dog training I spoted a roe buck with what i first thought was a deformed head this poor animal had a what looks to me a crossbow bolt in his head it seems to have gone through his head just behind his left ear and exits a good bit above left his eye he was eating away when i saw him then took fright as the dog came out of cover . The buck seems fine otherwise so this makes me think the crossbow bolt has only gone through the thin flesh on top of his skull and not done any lasting damage. We went out last lig
  13. To be honest I dont think any the parties give a toss about fieldsports ,we are a minority we dont have that much voting power . The past has proved yet again that polititions cannot be trusted , the majority are public school boys out to have a good old jolly on the backs of the working classes . I think whoever is elected will pander to the mummsy poh poh idea that the vast majority of people have OF THE COUNTRYSIDE , so country ways and our sports come way down the list . Unfortunately the lah lah land majority will decide. I think ill shut up now im geting myself depressed.(NO ONLY

  15. Bang on ( no pun intended) i had a baikals for 20 odd years and you could batter fence posts in with it in the morning and flight ducks with it at night . Seriously though for a first gun they are pretty well destructable chromed barrels easy cleaning and soidly built also very cheap on the second hand market. Good luck

  23. Hi 18888andybhoy ,she is young i would say a wee bit young to push on to quick . Try to lay of the steadiness training and get her retrieving , after all if you have the steadiest bomb proof dog in the world it insnt doing its job if it wont retreive. Before i try to help dont worry about this youngster runing in you will get the steadiness back later ,your no one priority is to get it retrieving. Take the pup out with a trained dog and handler roll a couple of dummies or tennis balls in front letting the pup see them send the trained dog do this acouple of times tell the handler to make a b
