  1. Funny thing is, scientists have shown that the mink never has had any real long term effect on the water vole population. It's human destruction of habitat that has reduced the water voles numbers. It has been shown that areas void of mink have just as many water voles as in areas with high numbers of mink. Like almost all rodents, water voles are very prolific and have no trouble keeping up with the pressure placed on them by predators. Habitat is what determines if they can survive in an area, not the predators in it. This fact has been proven time an time again my multiple studies done by

  9. Steep yes, but no more than some pet insurance plans, which I know are not the same thing, but it's a form of insurance all the same. pet insurance for 3 quid a day???? 90 quid a month? surely nobody is paying that much for pet insurance??
  10. Box might be knackered? More likely that two collars.
  11. 2 broke? that's unlucky! Don't think I'm trying to be funny or anything but have you checked the magnet on your box hasn't moved or something so it's not turning them on? I just thought the mk3 collars were pretty reliable, breaking two seems a bit weird. Does the box pick up other collars?
  12. .....not as much as she enjoys them, eh pal Yes that's just it with some of the land I go on....8/9/10 warrens but sometimes 5 of them will be empty and the others will have just single rabbits in them, not a lot you can do about that. Gets me out though I must admit though, there seems to be a lot more about this year (touch wood!).
  13. Yeah I know, but surely a big hob would kill a micro hob if they fought properly? I've only ever had two (normal sized) hobs once, and they fought like cat and dog all year round so I've avoided it ever since. I've just put my hob back in with my jills and he's a much calmer animal now he has company. Toying with the idea of getting a micro hob so was wondering if it's feasible to leave it with a normal hob...if it isn't I wouldn't bother. Some ferrets get on some don't nothing to do with size. I know it's nothing to do with size....but if two equally sized ferrets go at it the

  18. I've never had what most people would call a big bag, I'm perfectly happy going out for a few hours and coming home with 3 or 4. I suppose if I'd ever had land where I can get big numbers I might now look at 3 or 4 as being a disaster? But to date I've not been spoit with big numbers so I'll continue to enjoy my little bags
