  1. Went into the chinks tonight to order a Ruby Murray and the chink behind the counter had a fucken Scottish accent, funken mad listening to a chink talking Scottish, :laugh:

Strange you say that Danny, as we were out on sunday doing a bit and the farmer came over to us and asked what we were at, anyhow it turned out that he tought we were from the north and that he would have ran us off the land has we been, I asked him why and all he said was,,, "them there fuckers wont leave a hare standing".

  4. Contrary to common believe its not always best practice to call with a strong wind present. Let me explain, take an example where’s the caller is stood tight against a ditch with a strong wind blowing straight into his face,, yes he is masking his scent from any fox that may approach him from upwind. On the other hand how many fox’s have approached him from behind and got a sniff of his scent??? Now if the same hunter was to go out on a still night with little or no wind I feel he is in a much better position to call in fox’s from all directions as his scent won’t be carried as it wou

  12. LB,,, no both same size, but have often heard it say that it makes a difference to have one larger than ohter, I have seen no difference at all. I use whatever I can get my hands on to be honest, the stuff I use at the moment is a mild steel, I cut the sheet down into strips of about 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches, hope this helps.

Mighty Celt I had the U Caller with me last night, greating pulling power for getting them in very close, also use the tenerfiled whistle that I make, If I had one one caller to use it would be the whistle, ita amazes me how effective it is over long and short distances. Graham has it all a head of him now, made him a whistle yesterday and its a c**t to gets to grips with, his lips should be sore for the next three weeks :laugh: :laugh:

  17. We could not have asked for better conditions tonight, strong gale force winds with light rain, the recipe for a good night’s lamping. We arrived at the venue bout 10.30 and the fucken wind dropped and the rain stopped, sky sort of cleared up a bit to leave us with very bight fields and lower candle power on the lamp. First field we came to presented us with two fox’s at the same time, we managed to get them in really close enabling us to slip the dogs, but the funny thing was when we slipped on the chosen fox all I could see in the lamp was my bitch, Graham decided to slip on a fox th
