  6. Im just asking 2 questions regarding the right up that was in the magazine thats it, so no need of THE CAPITAL LETTERS it was just a general question
  7. I bought the country smallholders magazine this month an there was a right up on there about the Royal Welsh show that took place this year, it was good to see the events participation number was the largest that was counted in an event throughout Europe clocking in over 200,000 people from around the world at this years shows, id like to know everyone was charges an entrance fee of £20 a day that would total it to well over 4 million pounds - where does all the money go? Also there was also a mention of how hot the weather was with people having heat stroke and severe burns to their skin

  9. Just a little question - with regards to growing things in the garden what things can be put in now or what seeds can be put in for sowing ready to put out in a few weeks time. I know you dont get much started at this time but alot of people do grow for winter / spring little help needed please
  10. Hello, sorry only now seeing the message what u have possibly done if the shoulder was taken passed the normal range of motion possibilities is uve stretched the ligaments and could of possibly torn the odd muscle fibre, if i was u pop to the physio at the club take whats on offer and just try it as one thing might work another might not, but if its free take full advantage
  11. If your not used to standing for long periods of time and particularly if you have new work shoes or havent worn them for a while, they will kill your feet to an extent they feel like their burning, over time you will get used to it but if you feel working boots their insoles are pretty crap you can either go an buy extra padded insoles or go and have your feet moulded and they can make you a pair specifically for your feet only so you got the comfort etc where it is needed
  12. Achillies tendonitis is inflammation within the tendon itself, whether you have an old reoccuring injury and its come to this or you have a rupture in the tendon somewhere down the line, its a bugga to heal as its only a tendon, tendons dont have blood supply and this is why it is a lengthy process in the healing stage, where as if it was a muscle which we know are full of blood it got the ability to bring in cells to encourage and fight against torns fibres and thats why muscles can take a few days to a few weeks depending on the severity of the injury. Tendon damage and inflammation will go
  13. I personally think advocate is one of the best all rounders that will kill majority of everything and even things that are not in this country
  14. I can understand the farmers point in having it on the field to keep somethings from coming in and somethings from getting out but I went to 1 farm before and all they got is fence posts with 3 rounds of barbwire on it one low, one middle and one at the top of the fence post its a nightmare for the dogs
  15. I think there are some ways of making money out of your little allotment but your not gonna see yourself become a millionaire from it, longs if it pays for itself in the long run like the maintenance, feeding etc and a little extra over i think you could possibly do that, like some people have said u could make terrier / ferret boxes, kennels, i know some people grow different plants just to start them off and sell them to fruit and veg shops for them to sell on, eggs you can always sell to neighbours, my friend does make money on his racing pigeons but he has got top class racers so he makes
  16. But believe it or not some people do they dont give a sh*t unfortunately
  17. I think throughout any running dogs working life they have all had meetings with Barbwire some good situations where its been a little nic or slight grazing to the skin and some bad where its dug in quite deep and torn the skin leaving a big gaping hole. If your dog does have the slightest tear off the Barbwire its quite important to treat it and thoroughly clean it as ive caught myself especially my fingers or palm of my hand on this stuff and got infected quite quickly. We had an incident with our dog last night with barbwire where it has ripped the crease of the elbow area on the front leg
  18. Mainly liver damage or failure
  19. It wouldnt be so bad if you could get a clear picture of this sample and try and try and match it with something to give you a rough idea of what it is so you could read up abit of information on what is the cause of them, or you could always ring the vets up and tell them that you have a sample of it and any chance that you could pop it down to them for them to see and try and give you an explanation about it. You want to get a bottle of Jeyes fluid give the kennel a real good scrub change the bedding etc wash the dogs and see if it still happens. Just a check see if there is anything on the
  20. Sometimes certain factors can reduce the risk of catching when breeding dogs and majority of time alot of people breed dogs not knowing any information on the process. But you got to look at everything is 50/50 chance with life it might it might not. Some dogs can mate but might of been too late or too early its awful tricky situation sometimes even though the bitch will stand for the dog, a good few days into it some bitches believe it or not act completely different in their ways and can have morning sickness other might not show any symptoms that they have caught at all, but some people if
  21. Yeah it can be toxic to humans etc and all animals including dogs apparently, but some animals immune systems take longer to react to it, as its wiped my mates goats out last summer due to it, and a few horses recently, but there was a woman who owned a pig and said my pig ate it with no problems but doesnt mean it could affect it in the long running of eating it. I dont think the idea of mowing to cut it is a great example of treating it either
  22. Thats the problem some people are having is finding the ragwort seeds amongst hay, i think if nothing is treated then it will eventually overtake most land not just grazing but could eventually end up in a hay field and before we know it, we will have yellow mountains
  23. yeah i think it should be down to you to get rid of it if its on ur own grazing land, but what people are having problems with is the ragwort across the road from them when it seeds and blows it goes everywhere, what people are looking for is the council to do their work their end at roadsides etc to help prevent it from blowing into fields and growing there, as its the seed that kills the horses
  24. Some places do call people in to pull it for them i did it last summer at a local stables
