  1. My brother made a very nice pheasant and duck curry which ate last night! Very good indeed.
  2. I have a franchi hunter ( 3shot ) which I would sell for 200 bud. Stock could use some tlc but it shoots fine, even with light loads ( pigeon express). I got it for geese and duck but prefer my old sideby side lol P.s. it comes in a hard case with a combination lock. Pm if you are interestedbud
  3. Well it didn't!!! Tom pics sent bud.

  6. I have one of these nsk lads and love it, it holds an edge well ( I have had it for 18 months or more) I have made a sheath myself and use it all the time ( work, preparation of hawk food and paunching of all sorts) Handy little knives. Waidmannsheil!!

Some of the falconry suppliers sell it, I have used the door mat stuff before too ( some don't like it, I find it keeps my birds feet in good nick). Game hawker would be a good bet to buy some in the midlands. Waidmannsheil!!!
  10. Co cha line, it's a grease for leather ( I use it on all leather for the birds). Should find some on eBay bud. Waidmannsheil!!
  11. I'm not sure a mod should use pet names for Irish fellas lmao, Nice knives there Paul I may have to wear a baggy jumper next time I pop in! ( I have a few myself and can only recommend these knives/blanks to anyone who does not already have one!!) Waidmannsheil!!!
  12. A gwp will bush too if allowed to ( even very thick cover) A wee terrier would be my choice for bushing, if I didn't want a dog which can go to ground then a cocker or a springer The best of luck whichever you choose bud. Waidmannsheil!!!
  13. Anyone have some grey lag decoys for sale? Canada's also welcome. Suggestions as to which type also welcome. Thanks, Waidmannsheil!!!!!
  14. I shoot side by side, over and under and have just bought a semi too ( franchi hunter. 12g) I much prefer a s x s for rough shooting ( purely because I have always had one I think) The best I have shot was a piotti puma ( 20 g) which was way out of my price range, I loved it and couldn't miss! ( it belonged to the doctor I was keeping the shoot for) Look around and try what you think may suit your style of shooting out would be my advice bud. Waidmannsheil!!!
  15. A good approach to learning bud, I wish you all the best in finding someone to tag along with ( I am sure you will love it!!) Waidmannsheil!!
  16. Canada Geese do have a strong taste, I agree with the stew/ curry suggestions above ( we shoot quite a lot of Canada's which the other lads won't eat so I get them lol) I can not stand the idea of throwing quarry away after shooting ( between the dogs, ferrets, hawks, relatives and me not a lot ends in the bin!! Waidmannsheil!!!
  17. A mate did his own screen from the u tube video no problem, a bit fiddle with the wires. The best of luck!
  18. A first season bird would generally be tethered to a perch when on weight bud, it would be more important to get a mentor ( someone who can help you with issues you almost certainly will have ( if this is your first bird/ first season hawking). The very best of luck mate! Waidmannsheil!!
