Mine are greedy bugger so will eat anything. Last time they had Ardennes pâté or butter straight on the tablet, a slice of bread and butter works too. Normally no need to force it down them lol

Teckel,jagdterrier,wachtelhund,all the hpr ( dd/ gwp ,Weimaraner, are probably the hardest I have seen). a well trained specialist such as the Bavarian mountain hound or Hanoverian schweisshund ( the hanoveran being a bigger heavier dog) will certainly do the job. The best dog for the job is the best trained tbh. Waidmannsheil

Most things are to feed small life forms and not the ducks themselves ( raising nutrient levels in the water=more invertebrates) Don't overdo it ( smelly water,algae and potential botulism etc ) Split maize,barley etc have good effect in the shallows, calling birds on the water ( Indian runners,and other types clipped). It may be worth looking at the trees around the water if no wild ducks are coming in already ( to assess why not!?) The best of luck bud, Waidmannsheil!!
