  1. for the attention attention of Kris (Fresh earth): this is a copy of your post on another thread a few days ago about dogs x this way. And x same way as pup you sold me. Quote :"Personaly see nothing this cross has to contribute to the working world that the working whippet dont already less speed and a supposed little more hardness any decent whippet is as game as alot of terriers. That said the little dog is a cracking looking thing my best mate has a half x she is 17" hairy wee bugger keens mustard and takes rabbits but dont have the geers my whippet does and she tires quicker".
  2. I agree with Buttermilk, why not just spend some time training the dog, shock collar seems a bit excessive.
  3. also sounds a good place for a spot of ferreting, thanks for reply, and good luck with your dog Dunk.. thanks mate, yes ferreting is what Im planning for this place. atb
  4. Have a dog bred same way and about the same age and yes hes missed his 1st few bunnies (on a daytime mooch yesterday), overshot 1 on a turn which quickly made it to cover, ran one lovely turned it away from fence, oh ya beauty hes gonna nail it thinks me...dissapears from under his nose down a hole, whilst hes trotting back to me he spots something in distance and goes off, half a dozen bunnies go in different directions straight into heavy cover he trys his best to run them all...lol, I call him back and decide thats enough excitement for him for one day. On the positive side, Im confident h
  5. Funny statement that mate considering you bred some 3/4 whippets 1/4 beddys yourself, an you told me you owned the half x sire of the pup I got off you.. an if you believe as you also say that any decent whippet is as game as a lot of terriers then you must be useing some poor terriers mate. to you Kriss

  7. , I think its f*****g ridiculous and a complete waste of resources, 6 police cars, helicopter, police dogs all for a couple of lads out with the dogs. What a f*****g joke, these pricks need to be out catching some real bloody criminals.
  8. I know for a fact there is lads using half x down in wales and they doing very well, in fact to quote one of the lads "they are like little excocet missiles, just aim them at the target".
  9. That may be the case, but there's far more of us than them. All we have to do is put in just as much effort as they do . yes your right mate...voted till i went cross eyed...
  10. Done, we still behind, but its never going to be a fair poll, as they probably got antis sat there voting over and over again....u can vote as many times as u like.
  11. Nice dog magwitch, he looks in good nic.
  12. bonnie pup, just had the mrs givin it big awwwwwwwws over it. atb
  13. yes hes quite fast and quick off the mark, will tell you for sure when he catches something....lol, he got pretty good nose and marks well, this seasons will be his 1st so just see how we get on with him, but really looking forward to seeing his 1st catch. atb
  14. funny that mate, glad to know its not just me that has them days.
  15. Heres my 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy, 12 months old an 22" been a joy to bring on so far, very biddable and easy to train. Will be taking him out next month with an experienced dog, and givin him some easy runs on his own. atb with yours.
  16. Not questioning the dog mate, as only you know whats hes like, but thats some scatter breeding, too many people just crossing this with that with no thought to the bloodlines.
  17. Still looks a few pounds overweight for a conditioned dog in my opinion, looks a nice type tho.
  18. Good for you, have a beddyxwhippet myself and have found him to be a pleasure to train, like everyone has said really just spend time with the dog, work on his obedience, jumping etc, personaly i dont take the hunting aspect of a pup too seriuosly, just let the dog develop naturally. When hes ready, try him on some easy runs, preferably where the bunnies are out in plenty of space. (not like where i live..lol) If you get the chance try and upload a pic of him, would be nice to see. Happy hunting.
