While I totally sympathise with the sentiment mate I have to agree with Stiff, keeping clubs just surviving on a shoe string like Burnley or West Ham does not qualify you manage a massive club like Arsenal. His record just don’t stand up to scrutiny, but I take the point about Sir Alex.

Simeone would be a perfect fit brother, he is at a club that routinely balance the books just like Arsenal and he has them sitting 2nd in La Liga above Real. He has achieved consistent success at a club that isn’t ever silly with its money and he has stayed a good few years now. If I was Arsenal, I’d be looking at that CV and making him a very serious offer.

I’m glad for him to be honest, listening to some Arsenal fans of late has been both understandable and sickening in equal measure. If Sir Alex is the greatest manager and motivator that English football has ever seen (and he is) then Arsene is the greatest coach and conisiure of the game that English football has ever seen. I have teenage daughters so obviously this is a subject I have to consider for the future and I do, a lot ! I have been luck enough to be able to put things in place that will potentially help them. I’ll add a little personal experience to this.... I have quiet a lot of lifelong very good female friends, some I have known since school. Ill take the case of two of them.......both of them extremely good looking girls, bright, intelligent. Came from nice “normal” 2.4 families......nothing unusual at all. Both of them ended up with violent, controlling morons! One of the dudes was overt with it and the other was the type who kept it quiet and presented the “Mr Nice Guy” image to the world....... One you couldn’t miss but still with the other the clues were there.
