Watched 3 of those City documentary things now, does anyone else feel like Guardiola is playing up to the camera a bit ? Maybe that just how it’s edited but some of it is cringe as f**k. He is no Vince Lombardi that’s for sure !

What I took away from owning that dog mate was, I wouldn’t be wasting so much time, money and energy on a dog again….half a clue they were were shite and they were gone. Thats why I don’t have much problem with these lads who are out throwing dogs at gear and going through them…..they won’t be getting rid of the ones that can take it and that’s the one worth having a pup from. jmho of course

Absolutely and the shite falls to the bottom, but you only find that out slinging them at stuff. Ive had some shit in my time, one that springs to mind got shown more work in every part of the country than I care to remember. Lots of that was out the back of a Landrover and that is some way to cover ground and put tackle in front of dogs. That dog had more time and more chances than enough and that was only possible with wheels, funny enough as I remember his last outing was a night out with Downsouth and that was it, I couldn’t take no more and shot the dog the following day.

I thought you could still hunt foxes up there as well mate ? I think France is like a club system ? and in Finland you can just dig badgers and raccoon dogs until the cows come home. Germany is mostly a shooting country I think hence deer stands absolutely everywhere. Can speak for the rest but I doubt they are dedicating huge resources and chunks of their police force to such pathetic shit….let’s be honest, if you are leathering a pig in the wilds of Croatia who the f**k is going to stop you

I wasn’t looking for argument either mate. My point was, nobody is going to be breeding many good dogs of various types out of photographs and memories. The big working dogs future is in the hands of lads who couldn’t give two fucks, that is undeniable imho.

One thing I will say, the lads driving fields and posting on Facebook (whatever anyone thinks of it) DID NOT f**k up hunting, Blair, Banks and a million quid did that. As the OP proves it’s a bridge too far now for many lads to hunt lurchers, it’s the lads who are out saying “f**k the old bill” and chucking big machines of dogs out of car windows who will keep honest working lurchers alive……no tidy clean, mortgage and job and family to support lad is going to be doing that any more. Depends on the breed I’d imagine ?, you can condition big running type dogs of that size but I know absolutely f**k all about bull breeds.

No, fair shout mate, I thought you was suggesting that physicality should play no part in football and I just didn’t agree with that. I personally don’t think you can compare contact to non contact myself. I agree that the speed and physicality of some tackles just don’t come over on the tele, and tele is most peoples connection to the game.

Don’t agree with that mate, contact sport is, well, contact ! Yep, fair opinion mate…..not saying I agree totally but I don’t think you are metal for holding those views, it’s all reasonable enough. Very hard to get the nuance of a conversation over in the written word so that’s why these things get a bit 6s & 7s from time to time. There’s no nutritional value in them mate even IF they would eat them which they won’t, nothing does.
