Good advice Catcher....... Anyone who wants a decent book about dog training should try and get hold of a copy of Gundog Traing by Moxon (I think its Moxon any way) and old book but its all in there and it will apply to any type of dog mostly.

I absolutely believe that Swampy has some valid points and has given a well thought out and reasoned reply........I also belive that a modern, caring society should take care of it weak and sick and elderly.......BUT........most people dont CHOSE to get sick, they dont chose domestic violence or to become elderly and infirm. People dont CHOSE to get cancer or any other dreadful illness.......they dont chose to loose thier job and be on the bread line........mentally handicapped people dont chose to be born that way..........and we as proper human beings should take care of those folk BUT

I am not very educated so just humour me for a second........would this not be the same as saying to all the burglars and muggers "Please dont commit a crime today, just tell how much money you need and we will pay it into your account" Everybody from the age of about 8 knows what this shite dose and grown adults have no excuse........everyone has been through hard times but not everyone turns to skag.

Just seen in the paper the goverment are planning to start givving out free skag and special centres so all the skag heads can go and shoot up at the taxpayers expense!! If that happens I think it will be time to look to foriegn shores.........a country that condones and helps such madness and filth is no place to raise kids .

of course it matters you can raise a dog right but they cant all be good some are better than others in the same litter.dealing with lurchers with different breeds in there makeup some pups can go one way some go another you will get litter wastage, pups that dont make the grade inspite of what you do bringing them up I happen to agree with you......

Have you got a touch of the alzheimers?, you said before that it made no difference what was in a dog or if the parents were tested as any dog if raised right would turn out a decent dog..........so which is it, dose it matter or not? And for the record, my dog is a mish mash of different stuff but just bred worker to worker........not that it matters of course
