Cracking do lads, sometimes it makes you realise when you go to places that hold plenty of gear how a dog you thought you had fit may not be as fit as you thought it was. Simo, I would say your Wheaton did very well if its not used to seeing that many rabbits local so you got to be happy with that..........I know I would be. TOMO, well done for running the guantlet of Simmos unwanted sexual advances!!

I suppose the flippant, but true awanser is as much as possible..........out around 5 nights a week, even if its only for an hour or so and will start to travel soon too. Will do quiet a few nights/days/nights as well through the season, so as I said, as much as I can fit in with life and some kip.......you never tire of the humble bunnie. I know a couple of lads who are at it solid and I mean all day and then out again in the night for 6 months of the year..........now thats graft for your hound!!

Yep, deffo shite here............just had an hour or so out, managed a few runs but you could get a sun tan out there tonight.

As always, good reply Skycat but I think its a polite way of saying "your f****d".........when I asked the op the breeding of the dog I pretty much knew before he replied to me that it would have beddy in there.......its a trait and theres not much you can do about genetics. If he works places that it dont matter then its no problem........

Bollocks.......skinned my arse, for 1, why would someone leave something in a ditch skin off and 2, how much f*****g time did they have on their hands to do all this skinning in the field? Your looking for a row, shooting starts soon so it will be time to go and blather nonsense in the beaters hut which is the best place for it

Improving here, wind is getting stronger, some cloud starting to creep in.......a little rain will be the cherry as this warm breeze will strip the moisture off the ground in no time. If we get a good deluge around 7-8pm then tailing off around 9 ..........well, it dont get much better.

Very true, i would just doubt that many dogs, after performing well for say 4 seasons, would suddenly 'become' shit one night, on rabbits? After 4 seasons and on rabbits if the dog had been doing well, you would deffo look for other causes to a dog underperforming, thats a no brainer imho, but if there are no other causes then it may just have chucked in the towel.....it happens.

Its possible to sicken any living thing if you dont use your head, but some dogs are shit.......end of story.
