Sort of i always hold the slip with the left hand and the lamp with the right when lamping hares, im going to have to change it cause i rarely catch any :11: David

My bitch caught her first run of the night from a 100 yard slip :11: Only got 3 slips, there was nothing about except for hares. Ill be out tonight aswell to hopefull do better Im not botherd about numbers but i want her to catch to build her confidence up. 99% of her runs are from at least 100 yards slip because the rabbits are very lamp shy, its does nothing for her confidence Its got to be frustrateing for her hardly catching anything, and it is starting to show Her staying power isnt what it used to be David

I cant see it making rabbits bolt, if a rabbit doesnt want to shift i doubt the bell will make a difference The only reason i can see people useing bells is to help find ferrets that have left the warren un noticed David

I got plenty of runs but didnt catch. I spoted a fox and called it right in, if i slipped her it wouldnt of got away :whistle: David

Andrew my bitch stepped over a squatter last night :11: then stood there looking around trying to work out why the lamp was on if there wasn’t anything to chase, she was a foot away from it facing the opposite direction when it lifted and she never noticed it would of been in the bag if she picked it up. She must of seen it What gets me is if it was a dead rabbit laid out she would try anything to grab it to mouth it. She is only about 19 months old so hopefully it will come with experience. David
