  1. young ferrets will eat until they drop mate, the problem is how to stop them doing it?if you notice kittens they tend to have bloted bellies, try to work out a full grown rabbit will be too much for say 4 to 6 young uns in one day if thats how you feed them a carcass a day,,try to cut down on the food intake feed them daily but chop the rabbit in half for one day and then the other half the following day,the ferrets are not going to starve but will have less to eat,,i have kept and bred them for over thirty years and found little but often the best and healthiest method for my ferrets but everyo
  2. i tried lots of different pellets in my airwolf, i then tried bisley magnums and the guns grouping was a lot better, the penetration is awesome at 30 to 40 yds with them,,what distance are you shooting the rabbits,in the past i noticed accupells were going straight through the killing zone and the rabbits just had enough distance to get through a motorway fence and get to the buries, then i tried the bisleys and they dont go anywhere, try a tin you might see some better results?enjoy the site
  3. food my jills at the moment are looking thin but its that time of year when they have been in and out of season without me breeding them,,but i feed mine on the usual stuff rabbit carcasses, tripe, ferret complete, cat food, pigeon,i would say if you want to put some weight on them give them plenty of the ferret complete biscuits, make sure they have plenty of drinking water though,,

  14. i have had the hw100,air arms s410,theoben mfr,and also rapid7 with a custom stock, will be having a new air ranger, the most rabbits i have shot over the last couple of years has been with a s200 in .177,,not the prettiest gun on the market but it shoots straight its light,i dont think there is a best hunting rifle out there,,they are all top spec these days i think its down to the person a lot of the time and not the gun in question,,
  15. not askin for much then [bANNED TEXT], £950 might not cover an airwolf and if some 1 isnt happy with the airwolf besides being completely nuts i dont think with respect he will want a rapid and an s200 as nice as they are. just to reply to your comments i have been offered a wolf for £650.00 off one of the lads on here, the reason why i am selling both is i cannot shoot both guns at the same time, both guns are in excellent condition and i have now had what i originally wanted but have only parted with the rapid,,like i said i was prepared to offer someone a good deal here, the rapid alone
  16. mk2 airarms s200 in .177,in nice condition,with a 10 shot conversion,3x 10 shot mags,simmons 3x9x50 scopes,sling,£300
  17. i tend to give my young ferrets of this year a go around february time of next year,it gives them time to build up their muscles, what we must think of is that a back kick from a large buck rabbit could break a young ferrets neck or cause serious damage and put the youngster off for good, give them time and dont rush into things when you do take them out,be patient with them,if you have a goood marking dog only place them in the ones he marks ,theres no point placing them in unused warrens to train them a lot of ferrets will only work where theres scent ,also there could be anything down the bu
