I'm not sure Baz,i did hear of them off a lad down the Lakes,.Shaun told him they were bred down off Traveller but i couldn't say? Shaun had told the lad he was going to take him out on six occasions and he never turned up for any lol...so not sure if the dog is any good or not? Baz did you ever see the black dog run that Gary got off me it was from the Chester dog's litter,it was called Swift when the young lad up by mine had it? Just wondered what ever happened to it? This is Cora & Gypsy's dam Kes..never seen a bitch as strong in my life apart from maybe that Ginny bitch we got off Joe? Kes was her great grand dam too..i can recall this night as if it were yesterday..23 bunnies and 11 hares she killed on her own at Penrith..big fields they were too and some proper gruellers amongst them ..great wee bitch she was,she was the reckling of the litter and my mate chose her from the whole litter lol..i told him to leave it be but he insisted that she was the one...i ended up with a tenner's worth of beer in the pub the following weekend for her...and the re

Just on the 27 hares craic..this bitch below on the right called Gypsy who was the litter sister to Cora matched that feat with a bitch of mine who i put a few pics up of earlier in the thread and was the coloured bitch called Jess,not an easy feat to achieve imo? if it was and all the years i ran the darn things i'd of done it more often ..anyhow here's a few odds and sods with Gypsy (Minshaw's Blue x Kes) ...Kes being by Bulpa x Tess

Just to revert back to how the Flick dog was bred well the dam of him Tara who i just put a pic of and below her of her dam Blaze well this is Tara's sire on the left here called Sandy alongside my dog Patch...ATB Andy.

His dam was called Tara..this is her the red bitch on the right of this picture Tara was bred herself out of a deerhound lurcher called Sandy..i will get a pic up of him for you A.S.A.P and Tara's dam was called Blaze who was bred out of Bulpa x Greyhound and she is the black and white bitch on the right below... ...and Flick's sire was the black dog called Lad...exactly ther same way bred as my Kelsey bitch...ATB Andy.

Cheers guys ..this bitch here is Polly,she is litter sister to Flick,Flame,Flint & Jess the dam to Millet's,Johnnyboy's and Lee's pups...Polly herself is dam to Chief,Reggie and Co,she is bred out of Lad x Tara,i think Millet put up a family tree of his pup on page 11 of this thread and with the dam of his pup Jess being a litter sister to Polly the dogs in her breeding are there to see...ATB Andy. This is the bitch my lad Frankel posted a picture of called Millie,she was out of Jack (Bulpa x Cora) and both of their sires was Minshaw's Blue,her dam Bambi was from the N/E and was a Saluki lurcher bred down from A Sankey's Blondie,she nnever made old bones as she was killed,she was coming along grand,she wasn't perfect but then again i'm yet to see a dog that is lol..as a puppy she would catch her bunny and instead of retrieving it she would go in the opposite direction and bury the darn thing ..a few trips out and she soon stopped that though and carried beautifully another little quirk

Enjoyed the day it was a cracker! Had some great craic,met Millet and Moll and we all had a laugh or two at my mate the Ginger Hunter,he is so fecking funny haha,what about the gruffy Moll? Haha..to be fair it was too hot for the mutts but we'd of been complaining had it been raining? The judge of the lurchers was spot on for the most..well I thought so because I almost chose every class winner identical to him then also the Champ lol..great turn out,good craic,plenty of the old guard still kicking around "hairyface" being one haha..if you ain't been before put it on your list of things to do -

To be fair Baldocks said he knew nothing about fox dogs either but he still criticised Penny for the article? Maybe instead of taking whatever is wrote in books or mags as gospel you should maybe get out and do a bit..that way you will find out for yourselves how/what way things are done? ATB Andy.

Firstly Freelance,in truth mate although i obviously had half decent bags of bunnies with my dogs from the older generation of Minshaw dogs i never really went hell bent on going for the type of bags that Vic did,i was more interested in the hares,they brought decent £££ where a bunny was a ten bob job lol,my dogs all killed into the 40's with little fuss,the Bulpa dog when just a young dog killed 46 rabbits and 5 hares and i'm sure he'd og got into the 70's quite easily? ...as for Don storm323 well he's just about the same as my old dog,he's done over 40 several times and were it not for flat

Yeah he's over 1/2 Collie mate bred back to a lurcher lol..not even a Grey ..his speed his ok without obviously being an exocet missile ,he has caught more gear in the day then probably every lurcher i've owned in 30 odd year put together ..he just seems to always be in the right place if there's anything about?
