29th August 1999 this pic here..this is Chester,Red & Co just hours old... then came this... and both parents Jack & Kelsey...old Jack had a good strong head on him as a youngster,it just seemed to go streamline as he aged haha
-
Yeah probably so Johnny and believe it or not Blue is quite a few generations back in them via both parents...thats lurcher breeding for you though lol but with having been line bred over several generations in the main then there is always the chance that you will get dogs that throw "typey"...ATB Andy.

They are only a fiver but it mean's going into town which i detest..i will have to order one online me think's.. Miserable bugger  ...this was the litter sister to Don and the only other pup from the litter which came over from Ireland,Tomo's mate got her,i'm not sure if it's ever seen a bunny but she got a good home and that was the important thing ...we called her Ruby when we had her here lol...she was a nice pup,she was bigger than Don at that time?...ATB Andy. and Smart Dog check out the last pic

Yeah he is,he was very much identical to the Flick dog...fine stamp of dogs ...oh and spend a few £££ and buy a fecking keyboard  ...ATB Andy.

This dog here is called Flint...it's the litter brother to Flick,Polly,Flame and Jess the dam to Johnnyboy's and Millet's pups...he was used at stud quite a bit by our man in Leigh,Markbrick's bitch Wispa was out of this dog..i know the Brick's didn't make the grade after showing great promise as a youngster but i believe Busher's mate has a dog out of him that is a real handy tool? I have had differing reports about the Flint dog and it's standard at work,i'know the lad who has him but i haven't personally seen him working so it would be unfair of me to say something about him on that ethic r

Took masses in a week EDRD with the Chester dog,he got some serious graft as a young dog,i'm quite surprised we never finished him off by his 2nd season lol...brilliant to watch he was, speed, strike, general all round fieldcraft, you know the type, ran clever when needed be,had the gears and knew exactly as and when to use them, would retrieve from anywhere and through and over anything,he was just a pleasure to go out with,he wasn't a dog bred or used much on the teethed variety but we had them with him,GH had his doubts about him as a young dog,but i told him to persevere with him and he came goo

This is the Chester dog (Jack x Kelsey)..one of my favourite dogs of ALL time and it wasn't because i home bred him it was just the dog oozed that bit of class,we had some great times hunting with him of that there is no doubt! ATB Andy.

My second youngest lad Kieran and his friend a (farmer's son) have been on the lookout for a poultry thief this past week or so,thinking there was just one culprit yesterday evening they saw not one but two together, positioning themselves behind the hedgerow and giving a call one proceeded to high tail it with immediate effect and the other was more intrigued and decided to come in for a closer look...BIG MISTAKE .. two barrels let off and still charlie boy legged it,possibly at the end of range for a clean kill? So Don was sent to investigate...and when the lads went around the corner of the

Hey up mate,I think the new gang are doing not so bad to be honest? Just with the way the hunting laws are now I don't think we will ever really get to see or atleast hear how the different generations truly compare? If you ran with the old crew you'll know that the majority of MINSHAW bred dogs were successful when it came to rabbits, hares and deer and with two of those off the agenda due to the ban nowadays the new generation are never gonna get the chance to really see what they are capable of? This was one of the reasons why I personally swayed to getting Don,I also took onboard Swift at a

The Don dog ...ugliest cur in the land well maybe except for his son Reggie...
-
Thanks mate..the mutts do not too bad for the most of the time anyway BUT they certainly have their off moments but fortunately not very often! Here's the Don dog with Frankel enjoying a day in the Lake District..ATB Andy.

Oh aye he liked the terriers ..Flick was game for anything mate,he was a grand dog, nowt flashy but got the job done and if there was gear to run you wouldn't be coming home without the motor full ..if you go to page 11 of this thread and look at the post Millet put on of a family tree of the mother to his pup Jess...Jess was Flick's sister so the info is on there,if you want to know about individual dogs off there give me a shout on here and i'll try to give you the info mate...ATB Andy.

This is our Dean's (Ginny Spinner) bitch called Sox,she is from the very last litter ever sired by Jack, her dam is a track Greyhound bitch who ran at A2 level on Brough Park at Newcastle..a VERY keen little bitch, albeit very obedient apart on seeing the local street moggies ,then the little shit goes into a frenzy..she will be lucky to make old bones, she just doesn't see danger lol..gates,fences the lot she's already met them at full speed ..she already looks looks as though she's been ran over by a combined harvester, more bit's of bark (fur) missing off her then you'd believe! She has that

Every time i see a picture of Kelsey i swear she has been reincarnated as Lil.. .. Aye,she is VERY similar to her Millet, hope you get the same enjoyment out of Lil that i did with old Kelsey ..here's two of Blue's son's Rambo & Dan...Dan was from the same litter as Lou & the Mick dog,he was a good runner, very pleasing to the eye he was ...ATB Andy.

My two old "muckers" who both passed away just last year just shy of their 16th and 14th birthdays respectively..i miss having the old feckers around ..Kelsey and Jack...ATB Andy.

I was asked yesterday about where the whippet blood is in these dogs because of pointy lugs lol..the nearest i know of was the great grandfather to Blue?..well have a look at this dog called Mick,he was out of Blue and was from the same litter as Lou the dam to my coloured bitch Jess..ATB Andy.
-
This dog here was called Taffy..just a pup here and was bred out of Minshaw's Blue and his litter sister...the dog died in it's 1st season when a piece of bone perforated it's stomach and pierced a vital organ,to be honest the dog was brainless and imo wouldn't of been better than moderate at best? ATB Andy.
