    I have been using Remmington Gold its cheap and doesnt perform all that bad but thats with my CZ what fits yours might be differend some rifles of the same make sometimes dont like the same as the next!! ATB Tony

    Thats one i had looked at too looks well put together and reviews aint to bad at all!! I am almost set on X-Bolt now as it ticks more boxes then the rest! i was thinking of going a little cheaper on the rifle and upping my optics budget but my mate pointed out 'Knowing how you are if you get one you dont fully want you will never be happy coz thats how i am' he said and its a very very true comment i think i will be looking to build my kit up over the next few months then i wont have to skimp on any budgets!

    thats good longevity i always go out of my way to look after my kit thats why i want to make the right choice now as i will be using it for along time! and i aint a big fan of changing once i have purchased some people burn money like that!! also its better the devil you know sometimes! Cheers for the advice. Does the top loading get fiddly?

    when i first started looking i had almost set my mind on a Tikka but i kept looking and now its hard to sort the pros and cons!!! i do like the safety mech on the X bolt as you dont have to drop the safety to operate the bolt. Can you do this on any other makes?

    I am currently looking at my options for a new rifle in .223 Stainless / synthetic. After much investigation my flag is set at Browning X Bolt. Does anyone have one and whats your views? Does anyone have any other recommendations? ATB Tony

    My mate was stopped in the wee small hours by mr plod, when he got to the car he asked are there any firearms in the car, he said no and they still wanted to check. I think when he opened the back of the 90 they changed there minds as it was full of crap and shitty wellies as he worked for a waste management firm but they didnt call for the heavy's. ATB Tony

    Dont know what he was actualy doing was he compensating or just putting the crosshair on the centre line at each range to show the drop or lift. LOL you can her Mr Rick O'Shea in the background.

    Its a fair comment that if you thought you could do it. I have seen posts on here about people shooting fox with air rifles !!!!!!! its true that bigger loads are the order of the day with Fox give it the respect it deserves but we are talking about a one off not the guys usual practice! If he were going out for fox with that setup normaly then BAD TIMES!!!! Nice shooting.

    I am starting to like the idea of one more !!!!! they seem affordable, well built and accurate also an alternative to CZ. I have never had a new anything and was thinking of getting one new but i am in a bit of a quandry if i should buy a new .17HMR or a new .223? I said i was going to spend on my .223 setup and get a second hand HMR but having seen the browning i am having second thoughts!
