    .222 it is then lads.(dont try and fix whats not broken.)I actually do most of my fox lamping with my .243 but there are occasions when i use my .222 and ime always pleasantly reminded how quiet,recoilless and accurate a round it is.And i think we all agree that its more than capable of doing its job

    I think £14 for 20 rounds is not bad.You must be able to reload them for alot less than that.Mind you,i reload for accuracy not for profit! After what ive read on hear i think ill stick to my OLD .222,she does the job!!!!!!! THANKS LADS!

    As i said Deerhunter,I use a .222 and one of my mates uses a .223.My .222 kills every bit as good as his .223.Mind you ime a much much better shot than him anyway What do tou think of the 204 Deerhunter????

    Good luck to the lad but he hasnt got a clue how to set wires properly.You should have hung the bunny on the fence and maybe even gut it for the lad Your dog was really trying to retrieve that rabbit by the looks at the length of its broken neck

    I am feeding my ducks Foxey,but i never shoot ducks in september.They are too young and a nightmare to pluck (on a machine)with all those quills.Its far better to start in october,the nights are drawing in and you feel as though you should be shooting ducks

    I took peterthebeater out rabbit shooting last night.We took 86 rabbits from half a dozen fields! Most of the half grown rabbits had Coxcidioses(spelling)They where dog food! This was the best rabbit of the lot,plenty of suet there for the dumplings! ive cut there legs off and broke there necks ready for skinning! Skinned out and ready for cleaning and washing! Bagged and ready for sale! Theres more work in rabbit control than meets the eye!

    I will have to have a go with the 204 baldie.Cant give an opinion but sounds a brill calibre. DONT THINK THERES MUCH BETWEEN THE 222 AND THE 223 THOUGH. Both good calibres in the right hands. Q, does that 10% make any difference baldie?Ive used both and found the difference minimul???

    You will do ok with a .222.Ive killed a hell of alot of gear with the .222 out to 250yds plus.Superbly accurate,cheap ammo,easy to reload.The .222 kills fox and roe equally well.I use 55gr balistic tips which seem to have that bit more stopping power than the 50grs,especially when shooting roe

    I said 11" dogrun (not 15",too high) A wire wont work inside the pipe but will work on runs going to the pipe.A fox will fly down a 6" pipe and smaller! Ime based near middlesbrough (cleveland),where are you dogrun? Snares are the answer but to be honest you really need to know what your doing to be able to miss the billies.Every run and part of run are so different that each and every wire may be set differently! Forget about lamps,evening and morning squeeking is second to none
