Smart pup that , the Dams had a day out once, Saluki v lurcher, wasn't pretty lol The "Saluki" was off Khan to Bonnie, Bonnie was bred by Mark in Scotland out of a registed bitch and an unregistered dog.

Yes mate, geoff Spurr bred the litter, Duke that sired Rambo and Sherry was out of Laddie to Joe Wilshers Jane. There were two Dukes out of Laddie, the one to Anna was put to Queenie to get Dels Luke. Rambo and Sheeries Duke dam Jane was of Mac's Sam, 3/4 saluki to the greyhound Wisper Wishes. Ill fill in the other wrong and missing bits via PM. ATB for the new year M

Do YOU know YOUR dogs pedigree Rio? Do YOU know all the places it is WRONG? Were the dogs used were not the ones on the papers sent to the KC? Why line a mere lurcher with him if your so " pure" orintated? ( non of which were any good ) You have two stunning dogs there, why not just enjoy them?

Fred was out of Mac's 3/4 bred dog Sam to FH broken coated bitch Bess.

Defo in the saluki gene as well as the rough coated lurchers with beddy / deerhound that the saluki was put to years ago , like Fly , Toby etc Boozers old pure Fred looked like an Afghan in his dotage his coat was that long. Salty was 100 % to his litter sister Sooner.

Depending on the quarry a saluki will go for the long game if required but there are plenty about that will nail them on tight circlesName one?

never had 1 so dont know, but lamping most quarry you need dog to get up to them quick, maybe that style would lose alot of game. But a lurcher x to good coursing dog you would think on to a winner, with speed of the lurcher and stamina of the coursing dog.But can see why coursing blokes dont run them regular in the lamp, as any injury from lamping the last thing they want ,when daytime its main job.!! Is an Alsation faster than a good saluki????

Vances Ash and Abbey won everything in the saluki CC, Abbey in particlar was as good a single handed bitch as you could find at the time of any breeding.
