Dont know what the Gaskins dogs were called,but Fred put "january jack" over their match bitch "ruby",saw one run in one of the rounds of the forley cup,top class My friend from down the road bought one off alwin and it was one of the best bitches i have ever seen,tied a hare up in the middle of the field or fen,did,nt need much room

yeah he was and was flints great grand sire , he was put over a imported saluki Bob was put to a smooth imported bitch,the litter sister to Darren Gallagers "Brigawn tepe gawra" A brindle dog pup "beany" was put over "swoop"(merlinxeve) to get caufields "joe" I was out last thursday with a dog out of "joe" to "foxy" retrieving shot hares,good to think there,s a bit of bob still out there running and doing the buisness

A pit bull on stilts. All head and nothing else I dont like the things and that is it. They dont look like lurchers. I work 2 greyhounds and 2 beddyx greyhounds and a deerhoundxgrey every one of my dogs will take fox single handed better than any bull x.................. Are greyhounds crap? deerhounds? whippets?bulldogs?collies etc? All these and more are used in lurcher breeding,does that make them crap? It,s like calling Afgans crap,well,western show bred Afgans are! The saluki is going the same way and the dogs you,ve no doubt seen are of this illk I must also concede that i have never seen a "pure" (k.C registered) saluki that has been quite a match for the very best match dogs( e.g Blondie,snowy,foxy,gazza) BUT i have seen pure salukis that are not far off,the saluki bitch that won the Temple Brewer against some of the best dogs in the country,a fe

Hi ossie Had salukis and saluki lurchers for years,you,ve got to start them young! I see you got yours at 7 months? This not coming back lark probably started with the first owner,as pups (and adults!) they,ve got all this energy and want to run,run,run and then do some more running They have got to assosiate coming back to you with great pleasure,not being put back on the lead and play time over,or a pissed off owner I got my pure saluki dog at 8 weeks and started off with the same whistle every time i fed him,when he came to the whistle indoors he get a bit o chicken or ham etc Try th

Yep,has a falconary center,the gyrs gone back to Rob in scotland now.The best flight was with a male gyr/lanner and the saluki dog,the dog put a few bends in, then the falcon,it went on for about three or four minuets on a good hare on fenland

Been goin out with the salukis and gry/sakers,watched a lad called ben fly a pure feamale gry with his saluki dog last year,brilliant!
