  1. That was a fcking embarrassing, but i think we have just seen the tournament winners.
  2. Tricky one this, dont want the sweaty's to win, [not a chance in hell will they be shouting for us], but if the boks win the japs have less chance of going through, on another note, has anybody got a cure for the shakes ?, i'm shaking like a dog shiting bones, i think it is something to do with tonight.
  3. The Japs are at it again, playing some fantastic rugby.
  4. NZ will not be happy with that first half performance, hell of a lot of handling errors
  5. Good game from the Canadians, not bad when your on £450 per month.
  6. Just dropped a few down myself in the last week or two, myxie had slaughtered them locally, these all came from drop boxes a few hours away from home. I dont think it is actually legal, but it usually takes the bunnies four or five years to recover from the myxie around here, and i just wanted to give them a helping hand.
  7. Been on a downer all frigging day, went to the Canada, Italy game yesterday, supporting Canada, they lost, got back in time to watch the England game, we all know that result, watched that in the local CIU club, apparently i went home sulking like a kid and left my beer. when i got home my misses told me that city got stuffed as well, Hope next weekend is better
  8. Probably some EU regulations broken with this catch, Stick to the close seasons. The last one i caught had a broken limb. Brian
  9. I am struggling to find a way of fixing one on the barrel end, very heavy rifle, and a awkward sod to load, i wish i had tried one first, don,t think i would have bought it if i had. brian '
  10. Most of them are economic migrants, not refugee's, most of them are young men who should be picking up a gun and fighting for their country instead of running away and then telling us how bad it is, and in the next breath saying they have left their wife and kids behind. Refugee's ? my arse! Brian
  11. Can any body recommend a sling set up for a Air Arms TX 200. Cheers
  12. It was nice to meet you Ant, i enjoyed the craic, i hope we can have another go, but it will probably have to be next season, i am glad you enjoyed yourself and next time we will catch some Char [hopefully]. Dont worry about losing the only fish we had on, it has only taken me about 30hrs to find him . Brian
  13. Went out again on tues, 5 hrs and not a single ring, luckily the old lad has fished for years and he understands fishing, he said it was good to see traditional methods still being used and he had enjoyed himself. I was on the water again last night, this time toplining and casting lures to see if i could catch somat, 3 hrs and only a small Perch, this is why we call it fishing and not catching, If the weather is out like, i might be out again on Sunday. Brian
  14. Try SX enviromental, or 1 ENV. both great to deal with. Brian
  15. I am taking a oldish feller out tomorrow, he has fished for donkeys years but never char fished, so we will see how we get on, i will take the camera and hopefully get some more pics of fish and tackle for you to see. Brian
  16. I know Billy in the film really well, probably the best char fisherman on coniston and a great bloke, he does things a little bit different to how i fish but basically its the same, probably just because he fishes coniston and i fish windermere and its been different for century's, only 5 miles or less as the crow fly's Brian
  17. I will see if i can explain how it works, but you will have to bare with me as i am not the brightest spark on the planet. Starting with the Poles [rods] they are 16 to 18 ft long made from bamboo [preferably both the same length], they are as rare as hens teeth to find now, on the end of the poles are horse bells with a ring soldered on, the bells are your bite detectors,to the ring is clipped on your main line, this goes down 20 ft to a fig 8 dropper witch also acts as a swivel, to this dropper is attached what we call a lazy line, this goes back into the boat, also attached is 10 ft of nyl
  18. Once the sun had burned off the mist it was a glorious morning, not a lot of action but worth having a look out, the boat, Murky start A couple for supper Cheers Brian

I was wondering whether many on here are going to the game fair this weekend, i was asking a mate of mine if he was going ? and he said not a chance in hell was he going to pay all that money to get into the most expensive shopping center in England and then spend all day tripping up over somebody else's dog leads, which i thought was quite funny. Brian
  23. I charge a lot more than that and haven't had one refusal up to now. Highest price last year i heard was from Eco lab, it was £800 and they would only do it with 2 men and a cherry picker, the customer obviously turned them down, the cheeky buggers rang back a hour later and had dropped the price to £600. I now have a good contract on the place.
