  1. Sorry Bosun,You are probably [BANNED TEXT], it was a long time ago, i remember jimmy keeling from the shows back then if my memory serves me [BANNED TEXT] he used to wear a big fur waistcoat. How is Graham i have not seen him for years.
  2. WOW, hope the slagging match is over, but then again its been interesting, why would any body think because someone likes books that they dont know about digging to dogs, i have shelf's full of books some good some you would never pick up again, i new David Grayling when he used to live at Crosby Ravensworth, we had the rabbiting on the farms around his house, his book collection was something else, When i first started in the game the only Books were by Drabble [of a pedigree unknown], or Rebeca the lurcher but i cant remember the auther, then along came plummer, as a young lad i thought the
  3. Brilliant traps, both the WCS tube and the Kania,i had a tube nicked once, [felt gutted], the tubes are great on the mink, i made a box to go with the tubes for the squirrels which makes them good for prebaiting.
  4. Fish came yesterday, all in good nick, within a hour they were taking small flies of the top, i had planned on putting up some pictures but i dropped my sodding camera in the tarn with the fish, hope it dries out. I got the size and weight ratio wrong, it should have read 9-11 inch average weight half pound, they should soon bang weight on as it is stuffed with natural food. Brian
  5. Nematodes are crap, they dont work, i have tried them half a dozen times to get rid of Cockchafers and leather jackets, if all these miracle natural methods worked us pesties would all be out of work, but if you put natural or organic in the advertising of a product Joe public thinks its amazing. Brian
  6. Had a few calls, but all turned out to be Mason bees, to early yet for wasps, but i did see a few queens earlier on. I hope its as good this year as it was for me last. Brian
  7. Watched half a doz good fit bunnies go down a single hole on a nice clear banking one day, great i think some nice easy bunnies here, put the little jill in collared up,4 hrs later not a rabbit and not a single click on the box. i put a squirrel trap in the hole and the farmer went back every day for a week, we got her back after 7 days but for the first 5 the farmer took a rabbit out of the trap. Brian
  8. Darren, i have ordered 100 triploid browns at 9-11 inches average weight 1lb each, the cost was £273 + delivery, they have done a deal on delivery as they have another order in the area on the same day, so the total cost is £300, i don't think that is too bad. Brian
  9. All paper work sorted, fish are coming next thurs, looking forward to it. Brian
  10. Yes, definitely, good Perch and Pike, also good for Brownies. Good luck Brian
  11. Thanks for finding that film Philstory, it might just change a few peoples ideas. Brian
  12. To say prey animals dont feel stress is BULL SH1t, as Micky said rabbits and hares often squeal long before the dog picks them up, also i have seen rabbits being hunted by Stoats that were squealing like mad before they were caught. By the way Phil, nice looking animal, but why do some people think this picture is alright but a fox in a trap is not, to me they are exactly the same. Brian
  13. Well !!!! some of you have slagged this poor lad off so much, that he will probably never come on the site again, he put up some pics to show us all what he does in his country, nothing wrong with that in my opinion, i thought this site was for hunting trapping and pest control, just because his methods dont suit you doesn't make it wrong. If you go on some of the other sites from other country's you will see thousands of pics just like these. The problem is with this country is we pander far too much to the animal rites lunatics. I hope Adam keeps posting pics, it certainly a lot more i
  14. Enviro agency has to check water first to make sure that nothing can escape into other water courses and you have to use a reputable supplier but this is free, i am just on with sorting it all out,it can take up to ten days, i will keep you all informed. on the other point, there are hundreds of cormorants and gooseander on windermere and they hammer the fish they also are destroying all the trees on the islands with their shite, another big reason for the decline in game fish in windermere is the massive numbers of Roach and Rudd that have accumulated over the years more than likely left by
  15. The tarn is man made and there has never been any wild fish in it and never will be as there is no access for them. I too would rather fish for wild fish, i have fished Windermere for 40 yrs and for a long time you could have said it was possibly the best wild trout water in England, now you are lucky to even see one rise, we used to get fantastic catches of Arctic Char, last season i caught 3 in 5 trips out,no one can say why but the annoying thing is right on the shores of Windermere is the Fresh water biological associations head office and all their so called scientists, but they dont know
  16. You are definitely not allowed to release a pest species. Just dont get caught
  17. I am looking at stocking a Hundred or so Browns in a small tarn that i have permission to fish, it was stocked 5 years ago, and we had some good fishing until the otters cleaned it out, does any body know a good supplier near Cumbria. thanks Brian
  18. Some of the bed bug jobs are on pristine houses, not a scrap of mess anywhere, any one that travels can come back with bed bugs, they can contaminate your luggage on a plane
  19. Funny this as i was just about to put a larsen tale up, I had been asked to catch some Maggies in a garden last week, but only got hold of a call bird today, the bloke i got the call bird from asked me where i was going to use the trap? and when i told him he said he had given a call bird to a a fella that lives over the road from where i was going to set it 2 days ago and he had been raided by the wanking RSPCA, someone had reported him and they took the trap and the Maggie, dont know a lot more than that at the moment and i will go and see the fella tomorrow and see whats going on Bria
  20. It is FFING slaughtering them here and seems like a very virilant strain, hopefully with it coming now any thing that survives will have chance to breed before next winter, some bstard has let it loose and i have a rough idea who it is but proving it is another point.
  21. It looks as though he has dug himself one hell of a hole that he may struggle to get out of, hope i am wrong
