I think at this time of year grass seeds is a possablity.Can get quite nasty if not removed as the seeds can start to grow and cause allsorts of problems.My two dogs took off through a wheat field yesterday,the rough coated dog came out looking like a porcupine but had no seeds in his eyes, but the smooth dog was full of them. Got most of the out with eye wipes, but had to get ear buts for quite a few.He seems fine today but any signs of gunk and he will be at the vets.Hope this helps.Atb Jeffers!

  7. phoned my vets up last week to get a price for the jill jab,they said they didnt have it in stock but would ring me back with a price. when they did it was £49 but they said it was an implant.is this the same thing because it seems a bit steep!cheers

  11. thats one of the best looking dogs i've seen on here.not overweight just well toned i would say!
  12. thats a fair question,but dogs tend to lick their wounds and i would not like that on my tongue!put an ice pack on the injury first and then massage the radiol every other day and see how your dog responds.but if its really lame a dog vet is the only answer to your problem!good luck!

  17. i wouldnt do it, to many hidden dangers and your dog will get too many injuries through lack of grip!

  19. some smart looking dogs there lads,or ladies.i've got a 3month old deerhoundxgrey,beardiexgrey, still trying to take a descent photo of him but he wont keep still.
  20. sorry ment to say,they look like ink thumb prints.very symetrical. they are clear of fleas and very healthy looking,but could be a little over weight(plenty of rabbit and a good butcher) i'm not overly worried,but i know how quick ferrets can go from good to bad!
  21. i have 2 polecat jills 8months old. full of beans and are working really well(too well, loads of digging)! i have just noticed 2 thumb sized marks either side of their bellies.is this anything to be worried about?thanks jeffers.

  23. smashing pics keeps .doesnt nuala look different when she's wet? she still looks in great nick though! took ben ferreting yesterday,he was quite well behaved and only cried when i dissappeard down a ditch to catch one of the jills.we didn't catch any rabbits but jack nailed a nice cock pheasant so the've just had that for tea .i'll email some pics to you this week.
