  6. Yes, as i understand it, it can only be done at certain times of the year. What great men the hunter/naturalists were.
  7. Fascinating subject pal and a shame no ones answered you. I said in an earlier thread , that i saw a bloke do it on tv years ago. He was with good old Tony Soper (a GENUINE tv naturalist) imho. The bloke had 5 or 6 hares come to him around a land rover. I think it might have been "kenzie" but not sure. atb ff

  12. CW you speak wise words now as always, At the start of this thread, i said about "back then" and you were saying the same then. F*ck the numbers game. its for those who want their gonads massaged ! Enjoy your dog and enjoy nature.
  13. LMFAO. yeah, much the same as back then. BOLLOX. :clapping:
  14. Seeing THAT picture of a certain dog in front of a rake of rabbits (in another thread) Reminded me of the controversy it caused in the "shooting news" back then. So what do people think now ? Is it possible for one dog to take 100 or more rabbits in one night. ? Bearing in mind, the rabbits have to be carried off the ground etc, i still doubt it. What do you think ?
  15. I used to have an old "Burco" boiler, which was originaly designed for boiling chilrens nappies and other laundry, into that i would drop whole rabbits, gutted but with skins on, or whole chickens (ex layers bought from the farmers market, very cheap) or sheeps heads when you could still buy them from the local abbatoir, add some vegatable trimmings, let them simmer away untill you got a nice stew ,add a good quality dog meal (biscuit), dogs used to do realy well on it. I think the best thing for getting condition on a bad doer is raw unwashed tripe. Nowadays i feed an all in one,
  16. God mate, get her to a vet QUICK FFS, that growth on her neck looks f*cking terrible !!!!
  17. we were all born hunters, using dogs to hunt has been going on for centuries, when I was in Africa up in the North west, I saw a local tribesman, hunting with a hyena, the hyena was on a long chain, and he was hunting the Dyker buck (( it is one of the smallest bucks in Africa,)) I got one of of my boss boys, to talk with him and ask him about the Hyena, he found it as a cub badly mauled, he took it home and nursed it back to health, the hyena was about 3 years old at that time, he said when he was hunting he had to keep him on the chain, he was afraid he may run off and he would never see him

Dont think yer mad at all mate. Apparently the crops are altered afterward, as though they've briefly been under intense heat.
