  3. My old PTI liked to see you throw up before breakfast too....he was a hard b*****d. When I first started playing union for my school the only training we did was watching videos of internationals in the sports hall and then playing a game - A team vs B team. It was great when the manager cracked open the cans of Flowers Bitter after I quit the school team and went to play for the town team who had a proper coach...my god...what a difference
  4. By his death at the ripe old age of 25 he had accounted for 35 mice, 3 rats and a disabled squirrel. All single handed apart from the rats, the squirrel and 34 of the mice.......... He sadly passed after going to ground after a hormone laden shrew during the breeding season, I couldn't dig him out before the shrew could inflict a terrible mauling........The only consolation is he sired 89 litters and made me some serious coin... RIP Rambo.... But you know the blood is safe at least Simon. That's the good thing about having good friends around you to carry on the bloodline and test h
  5. Aye, you're not wrong there Simon. Here's Rambo going to ground on those mice If I remember correctly Rambo had three sessions to ground that day? He mixed it with the first two mice but by the third, he'd learned a bit of discretion. We lifted the hatch to him and he was sat off a bit, baying away like a good un'

  9. Well the Dow Jones made positive returns last night and oil finished down $5 a barrel (4% down)...so let's see if that translates into cheaper petrol at the pump....... Once the greedy b*****ds have broken the stigma of certain price levels they are loathe to reduce it.

  12. I agree Si....but what to do? Labour are dead and buried in the UK but what about the Conservatives? Is their approach what the country needs now? As I said before, i think it's a cyclical thing so we'll come out of it at some point. Not so long ago there was effectively a two party system in UK, with the Liberals and Tories changing places as the party of power, taking their turns in due course. "New" Unionism came along in the 1870's and gave birth to the fledgling Labour Party. Labour benefitted from a polarisation of opinion and the old two party system was smashed, never to survive an
  13. Well I'm only 34 Rich but this is the worst I've known it, have you are spare room in Oz for two adults, two kids and three dogs? I've got a nice kennel and run Si....got a young un' on the way myself so room is at a premium We get a bit of the UK news over here and they've shown the trucks on the streets again recently. The new Labor govt here is going through an argument with the unions here over rasing the minimum wage for the poorest paid workers....and today they've just announced a 19% (yes that's 19%) pay rise for their own top salary civil servants taking them to almost $5
  14. I'm talking about the stock market Mark...I haven't been in England for a while so I don't know what you lot are going through.
  15. The entire world is heading for recession not just the UK. There are 3 day weeks in South Africa and China in some areas as they have to divert fuel from power stations to agriculture as they just don't have the resources. Unemployment is rising, taxes are going up, fuel is going through the roof, house prices are falling...it's a cyclical thing. We saw it in the late 's and we'll see it now. We saw record prices of Aluminium overnight on the London metals exchange, oil keeps hitting highs, copper is going crazy as is it's by product manganese. China is driving a lot of this with her industria
  16. Plenty of Pakistanis are into coursing & racing in their homeland & the UK. They used to make up more than half the attendance at Edgeware, Hanningfield & Lingfield flaps & were by far the heaviest gamblers. A good few used to course greyhounds under rules as well. Was it at Ardingly when the Mujahadeen rocked up in their Subaru? Keen blokes to be fair to them
  17. Yeah well I don't give away good ones mate
