  4. You could always attach a radio to its collar then you will hear the music when it comes up from the warren
  5. Im my opinion a dog should be for life , socialised properly & know its place within the household , i know its different if your taking on an adult dog sometimes they sometimes get passed round because of problems but i think if every pup was schooled correctly & allowed to be a pup & mature at that dogs rate then the passing round of dogs would be significantly less I am quite shocked at the long list of dogs some people have had & some no doubt given up , i understand people loose dogs due to working but surely not all dogs are lost this way , and i understand the nee
  6. After reading that lot i think i will get a couple of chops how could anyone consume all that in a day  years of practise Kay... and a little exageration And we are talking small portions of many little things.. Well i suppose small amounts is ok

  10. I am very nervous he is a big dog i measured out what his height is & its to the top of my leg but the present owners have said he is a gentle giant , but i must take the bull by the horns & be possitive , like you say be confident & it wil be ok
  11. Your probably right , i think she will enjoy the company of her own kind , i suppose both being greyhounds they get used to being with there own kind from kennal life at the tracks
  12. The bitch i already have is 3 & the new dog is 4 , i am just mithering a bit as i am not sure how the bitch will react to this new dog who is quite a bit bigger than her , when i took the bitch on i had a terrier here & she was fine with her , but since the terrier died she has been an only dog . I have had the bitch about 8 months so i dont know how she will react now to another dog coming here , i suppose all i can do is try it out , go for a walk with them both i may muzzle them both just incase , the bitch is pretty submissive & pretty good when i tell her to do something
  13. Congratulations to you both, it makes you broody when you see new babies
  14. Little dogs tend to have owners with little brains , for some odd reason they think there '' little'' dog needs pampering , i really cant imagine a normal dog staying in that contraption for more than a min , its only flimsey polythene on the front of it i wonder what they would do when there ''little'' yappy dog got out of it & got run over or worse

  17. Could be anything really get it to a vets if its thats bad
  18. It wasnt an issue when the greyhound bitch arrived as the old terrier welcomed everthing here , but this dog hasnt had another dog come into the house as yet so i will do it outside first & then bring them in
  19. Happy Birthday Buster hope you have a lovely day
  20. Patience is the key , have had ferrets here who bop back & forth when you attempt to pick them up , never had a kit raised from here do it only handed in ferrets so i can only assume in my case its lack of handling in the first place. Also bare in mind its a kit & going down a very dark hole into the unknown has got to be pretty daunting so when you think so has the reverse , coming into the daylight from a dark place , its very much a new experience for any ferret the first season its worked
  21. I was thinking an outside introduction rather than the other way round, thanks very much for the advice
