  1. Personally i wouldnt breed if you have only a few months experience ferret wise , just enjoy the ferrets & you can always do that a few yrs down the line when your more clued up
  2. New Kids On The Block.... Probably before your time Kay Have you guys ever bolted mink from the rabbit holes? The bay city rollers were my era boy band wise
  3. So sorry to hear your sad news
  4. well done all, looks like the kiddies had a good day & theres many a good tune played on an old fiddle
  5. Imagine the stress if all the memebrs of this forum were in one room
  6. There so pretty i can imagine the little elves & pixys playing in them yes i do like all that kind of stuff so your pic appeals to me
  7. In my opinion the vet should have spotted the lack of testes before getting them on the table & under anesthetic
  8. Well done Tanya sounds like you all had a fantastic day & well done to your son for making sure you were all watered
  9. I love the last one best , its the reflection that does it , very nice pics
  10. you can do it in windows when you get the pics up to load into photobucket right click & click on edit then click stretch /scew then where it sayes 100% clear that & put in 50% on both boxes then when you click the red cross in the corner of the page it sayes save or not save click save & that will reduce your size then load into whatever your trying to load into
  11. Am I right in thinking that its very tiny size and the fact it has a slightly shorter than normal looking tail, be a sign of an inbred ferret? Its tail isnt stumpy, It just looks a bit shorter than it should be! No idea to be honest , i dont think being small automatically means in bred , they come in all shapes & sizes
  12. I have found with older ferrets there teeth do seem to go opaque , and a grey colour, no idea if the teeth on this ferret are rotting though
  13. Surely a vet will see the animal regardless of its make up, as i see it any paid proffesional who becomes political in this way should be struck off
  14. Thanks for sharing the pictures, i havent seen a frog here for ages

    Day ended on

Excellent pictures . love the one of Ted looking through the long grass
  16. Thats awfull & some peoples manners leave a lot to be desired , i know full well having 2 big dogs how intimadating they can be when there loose & running, so it must have been teriflying to a child I hope the horse is ok & your little kiddie
  17. If you get some from a rescue they will most likely be speyed & then you dont have to worry about them coming into season, thats if you get adults
  18. Strictly speaking its not that they need mating , they need bringing out of season, several methods speying , basically a hysterectomy Hormone injection Run with a vasectomised hob or breed the jill
  19. he has bread good working stock quite a few times and shifted more ferrets than i care to mention, and says he feeds cat biscuits and for the young softens them with warm water, would this be ok, well it works ,but you know what i mean Kits need meat & a good supply of it , cat biscuits are not for feeding ferrets
  20. I honestly dont think its a good idea , theres things like mastitis to look out for , milk fever , pluss a problematic birth , it can be daunting to a seasoned ferret keeper let alone someone with no experience
  21. Not a good idea if you have never kept ferrets before, its a huge task to undertake & you get to buy the pounds of meat the kits need from 3 weeks onwards , if you dont have a freezer full of rabbit then its going to be costly , then there the handling of possibly up to 12 or so kits , if its not done then you wont easily find homes for biters which they will be if there not all handled enough I dont want to sound negative but in reality its a bad idea if your a complete novice
