  1. I have got one of these finepix camera's & i cant get on with it on the super macro setting , the pics come out really poorly , however i do get on with my little canon on the super macro setting
  2. Well i have just had to relent and buy some dry food Alpha ferret feast i paid 12.29 for a 10 kilo bag , i am sick of the flies i put meat in for the kits at 12.15 am & i went back out at 1am & the flies were buzzing round the dish even at that time , so untill the weather cools down a bit there on dry food
  3. I love the first picture Jimmy , he looks a bruiser
  4. Look at his belly  looks like he has had a night out with darcy
  5. Love it & so will the ferrets , well done
  6. Well lets put it this way when you can buy a 10 kilo bag of '' breeders cheap cat biscuit'' for around the 12 to 15 quid mark , compare the 7 quid for a 2 kilo bag of james wellbeloved , speaks for its self really http://www.freewebs.com/theferrethotel/ferretfood.htm this link lists most of the complete ferret foods available
  7. exactly mate i cant get my head round it its not like ferret food is more expensive or harder to find why cat food i know its got high protein maybe ok for emergency but not for regular everyday feeding is it just me They may be high in protein but cheaper brands do not use meat protein , its vegetable
  8. exactly mate i cant get my head round it its not like ferret food is more expensive or harder to find why cat food i know its got high protein maybe ok for emergency but not for regular everyday feeding is it just me Agree with you i cant understand why people feed real cheap nasty cat biscuits , its got to be to do with cost
  9. The problem with cheap cat biscuits is they contain no meat protein , its soya , if you buy the expensive brands like Arden Grange then you may as well buy ferret food if the reason for feeding cheap biscuits is cost
  10. wouldnt let anyone take either of my dogs out other than me or the old man , the lads not allowed unless one of us is with him
  11. I disagree to some extent Kay . . . . my dogs are always out and about with me, especially when i'm out photographing the hunt. They get left in the car and are more than happy, the boot has a huge cage and they will happily snooze in there whilst i go about my business, they love being out with me. That said it's common sense isn't it, if they happen to be with me in this heat, which is very rare . . . i open the boot and have a padlock on the cage, bowl of water , the car is always parked in shade and i never leave them long. Like anything there will always be the idiots that exploi
  12. Exactly what i was going to say, get a second cage problem solved
  13. Its not an all year round issue , the fighting tends to be during the breeding season , if the males neutered he is castrated, its a vasectomised hob you have so he is basically still entire & is more likely to fight due to this
  14. You can still get them off the ice cream man who stops by my house
  15. Whats the ffs on that model i am getting one if its a lot

    Heat

Just been out on the back & sat on the slabs & i shot up pretty sharpish , the heat coming off them is unreal , just check any concrete or slabbed kennel floors , not sure how much heat dogs pads can stand but ferrets paws might be a different thing
  18. Handle them often ,feed them,[full rabbits or birds none of that baggrd shite]fresh water, clean bedding, room to grow, thats all it takes,as for tapping them on the nose , a load of tosh, spouted by people who know F A about looking after ferrets in my opinion. everybody has a different way i guess but to state they know F A about keeping fezzers 'cos they tap/flick them when they bite is a bit strong aint it??? i know people who've never raised their hand to anything usually their dogs are not under control or their kids and forget going anywhere near their ferrets
  19. Bloody hell there babys , makes no odds how well handled they are by the '' breeder'' they nip , pups do kittens do so why do people find it odd that baby ferret nip simple solution handle after a good feed , there infant animals & smacking , scruffing & nose flicking all make hand shy ferrets
