    I went to look for the swans today i havent been for over a week & the pair & the 3 cygnets were on the lake with the pair i have been watching for months, only the regular pair came over , but i could see the others & they all looked well Not many pics today as it was quite dull

    Sorry to hear about your ferret , but i find it hard to believe a dog shinned a fence & opened the cage & killed it

    I find wellies are ok for a quick 10 min blast over the fields with the dogs but the ones i have are so heavy my legs feel like lead after a few hours in them i would get boots as well

    I am very wary when out with the dogs , i get cars pull up at least once a month if i have the bitch with me , not so much if i have the dog with me though , people usually just want to tell you they also have a greyhound I do try to walk in different places with them & i am not a creature of habbit so the times also vary to suit what i am doing , which i think helps , all you can do it tighten up security and stay alert , note everything down & always have a compact camera in your pocket for quick pics of vans / cars reg numbers if you feel there watching you

    horses scare the crap out of me if there moving about by me , when we did the pics for the calendar in June i had to cross a field with a rather skitty pony in it & it knew i was scared so it chased me mind you it must gave looked hillarious from the main road to see a woman running across a field with an arm full of purse nest wearing a dressing gown then a bit later on in the day i had to stand by a bigger horse but because it was steady it didnt scare me , i even stroked it which i was pretty amazed at , ridiculas phobia i know but there very large animals

    i think it depends what you want to take , if your wanting to take dogs running that kind of thing then i dont think you will get one for less than 100 quid I am happy with this canon i use for close up stuff but its not up to taking moving images just not quick enough , its not bad for very general stuff & close up work though

    I can fully understand why people watermark there images & use scaled down versions rather than the full size , i dont know what you can do to protect yourself ?

    the only time i have has ferrets with persistent coughs is when i fed chicks , i was advised to stop feeding them for a few weeks & within days they had all stopped coughing , i then only fed them maybe once a week

    i like the second spider one best i used a plant spray to get the web but they didnt come out very good , then the spider came running down the web must have though it was a typhoon :laugh:

    these are taken with a canon power shot A470 Kay with the camera your using your getting some really stunning shots. I wonder what the shots would be like if you had digital slr with a quality lense?? You have a good eye for a photo and that IMO is the most important part in Photography and it's something that comes naturally as it's very hard to teach. You have a gift, if ever your up my way give me a shout and i'll let you use one of my cameras for a couple of hours. i think its the camera the supermacro setting, i have others with a macro setting but i cant get the same r
