For me communal mothering is a big no, common sense tells me I want to know which jill produced which kit incase of any defects so the jill can be removed from any breeding program I have read that people mark kits from one litter with all sorts of things like tipex etc, to much fannying around for my liking, so I would simply seperate the jills & allow them to mother there kits as nature intended , just my personal opinion

A normal pregnancy is around 42 days. 6 weeks give or take a day, so when there brought out of season by the jill jab or a vasectomised hob, the jill thinks she is pregnant, so after the normal gestation period they can & often do come back into season

It would cost me more than 40 quid for a vasectomy here & seriously 50 quid for a spay here is a give away , it depends where in the uk you are as to prices for neutering etc

I really dont know anything about the delayed pregnancy to be honest, but if the jills are handleable It may pay you to get them quickly ultra sound scanned at the vets to see if there are any viable kits , having said that i would find it unusual for both jills to have produced nothing yet if the dates are right you gave

The jills could have had phantom pregnancys , or had there kits & eaten them
