    thats the problem mate, thats why you should go for a 2nd generation or a 3rd generation etc because then the mam and dads both beddy greys and proven theirselfs. Thats exactly what im looking for, a beddygrey to beddy grey bred pup, but its hard enough finding a decent first cross where you know the parents are worthy of breeding nevermind a line bred beddygrey pup. If i cant find that breeding then im thinking of beddygrey x wheatongrey or beddygrey x deergrey or even beddygrey crossed to a racey bullgrey. Just really want the great nose and gameness of the beddy without sacrificing g

    Just to add my bit. Surely personel preference is irelavant with such a matter, the decision should be based on does the dog need a docked tail for the work its intended for in your experience (but of course the decision is often made for you by the breeder). I understand on a behavioural (sp) basis the tail is used by dogs to communicate as part of the overall body language and having a docked tail is beleived to sometimes cause 'trouble' as the body language is miss read by other dogs. Me, personally i would have it docked just to be on the safe side as ive seen plenty of split open tail

    To shoot someones dog even though they are poaching will bring out some VERY strong emotions, you had better be bloody sure by shooting their dog you had no other choice and that that will end all the trouble, because shoot the wrong sort of blokes dog and you may wish you didn't. This isn't a 'well ard poacher' talking, its common sense and a little wisdom (a little as im not old enough to have alot, lol). Also i beleive that not so long back there was a case where a keeper/farmer shot a poachers dog and ended up getting prosecuted himself.

    The blatant lack of respect some people have for animals, particularly the animals they hunt is pretty f*****g sad. If its a pest then by all means kill it but i think in this case the lad did right. Well done tallyho, top man

    Back in the days of the British empire i beleive they had a gun for that sorta stuff, i read about it in the countrymans weekly a while back. Sawn off 20bore shotgun, they called it the 'wog stopper' (and no im not having a wind up or beeing racist). Its name was a sort of unoficial term becuase they were a big hit with explorers and the like who went to africa for defence against the native peoples.

Only positive is that shes not in the hands of the scum that took her, i would sooner shoot a dog than let dog theiving scum have it, god knows how the stolen dogs are treated. Im getting a pup in the not to distant future and im shitting bricks about having to kennel it. The kennel wont be all that well hidden from the public view but i wont have a working dog around the house for my family to f**k up. Only positive is my window will overlook the kennel and ill have a few security precautions to hopefully make life hard for anyone that

    For all the dog work on the shoot, we use a 110 landy, proper work horse that thing, roof rack on and a half decent set of offroad tyres, pulls the beaters wagon, terriers and digging gear in the back, dug/shot fox/game on top, does the job for us in lincs anyway. Quads are another favourite among my mates

    When i did my work experience at rutland watersports, the b*****ds had me back and forth after 'sky hooks', 'tartan paint', 'glass hammer', 'rubber nails', all bloody sorts! I was sure i knew of sky hooks, otherwise i might have trigged on. I know, stupid fecker, but i was only bowt 13/14 Best of luck all the same
