    Just got back from lamping with my collie grey pup (9 1/2 month) and my mates saluki collie grey (18 month) weather was perfect being very dark and windy. It was my mates dogs first propper night on the lamp and my pups second propper night. My pup got about nine and my mates got about ten or eleven, we couldn't believe how quick they were picking it up, couldn't fault them at all.

    I've got tescos, never had to claim yet but only costs me twelve pound a month for both my dogs.

    Took absolutly ages for my bitch to get her weight down, jus carry on as normal abd ine day u will look at her and she l b her old self again

    people often talk about good, average and crap dogs but how well does a dog have to work to fall into each catogary? is a good dog a dog that rarely misses anything it runs even from long distances etc etc.

    I've got a beddy whippet cross collie grey, dhe stands at twenty two. She a good moocher and lamper but an out and out daytime dog. But I am pleased with her.

    I was jus saying to my mates the other night if some one offerd me a million pound for my dogs I wouldn't sell. If someone could sell there dog I don't think they could have had a good eneough bond with it in the first place

    i know ive been busy fishing and working but im back now!! your going to make me say it on a public forum lol !! basically right at the end of the season i would send him on rabbits and he would walk up on them and then go for them if they stayed!! if they went he would come back !! but if he saw anything else its was business as usual little arsehole !! so it only took 3 nights out at the end of the season for me to realise i best put him away for the summer and hope he forgets this little ENERGY SAVING trick hes learned!! he wasv a class act on rabbits only two nights before it happene

    i agree mate , i do only lamp work my dog 21tts had 21 this season on the lamp and on a few sunnday morning walks this season he managed 5 off same land , i seen all sorts of crosses struggle with night time hare , some night time runs on a fit hare isnt as easy as it sounds mate if people only hunt night time they should be able to run what they like alot of the so called "hare" dogs would struggle night time with the smaller lurchers on rabbits day time running isnt the end all and be all of this sport. Any good fit lurcher will take hares in the lamp!! That is absolute nonsens

    Well what if I'm out lamping and I want a hare to make a pie etc why shouldn't I let my dog catch one for me, or should I buy a one that's been shot. What do you mean buy knock them off their course.?

    My bitch killed a fair few on the lamp last season in big fields and after long runs, she under twenty two, beddy whippet collie grey, not a coursing dog by any means but does well for her size.

    Ha ha, missed that bit too killed a daytime hare from sixty yards at seven month, can no ones dog be as good as yours like.

    So p***y poacher your dog can catch four out of seven second time out but mine can't catcg five summer rabbits first time out even though she has been running day time for a while and caught four. You are a joke pal.

    She's three eigths five eighths collie grey but has thrown more like a three quater. I must emphasise they are easy rabbits but I'm still pleased.

    Yeah mate the spot where I took her there are hundreds and they easy edpecially in august. Think p***y poachers jus trying to wind ez up lol

    mate I'm by no means saying I caught five fit winter bucks. Its its not her first time out its first time on the lamp. She's had four daytimes rabbits so far so how is five kicked up lamped rabbits so hard to believe, why is it only you that has trouble believing it???
