I'm sure you'll have a saluki pup or two to spare, that you have spent time and money on bringing in and breeding, just so you can give them away to a lad who desperately wants one !!! Who can't afford to buy one, but will give it the best of feed, housing and vetinary treatment, if needed ?? Don't be a spoil sport !!! Cheers. i will have that saluki x off you chartpolski i aint too botherd about the food but if you could pick some up on the way down to drop the pup off that would be spot on sending you address in a PM....

    What to say, the dogs healthy+happy thats the only important thing to say on this post. As long as he got warm kennel+ good food bit of work , thats what its all about .? The dog had probs would black out when worked hard, vet said it was lack of oxgen to the Brain. He went to a lad on here who lofti knows who done more digging than lamping, so at the time seemed better for the dog . So if the doing well now great, maybe the vet could have been wrong, who knows.?.. So as long as Tod happy+ the owner thats it .!! life moves on end of amen to that

    just because a dog gives up on a quarry dosent mean its useless. i no a few lads that have got rid of outstanding rabbit dogs because they wouldnt touch other stuff if you only go out for rabbits those dogs would suit you down to the ground. fair play for having it and not passing it about. another mans junk is another mans gold....

    Forget percentages,as soon as mathematics becomes important to breeding lurchers,then the breedings flawed.Decent working mutt bred to the same will usually produce the same,the ability of the parents in the field is far more important than the percentage of this and that and what will show in the mix,ability first and foremost. I aren't talking about mathematics or percentages. Say you've got 2 dogs pre ban, 1 good at hares due to dash of saluki blood, one good at foxes due to dash of bull blood. What would you expect from pups? Be ok at both? Some throw to one some to the other?

    some dogs throw to the side more than others be impossible to tell the exact breeding of that dog 100%

    true sirus and have a half the life span compared to collies ( roughly ). i would say it would be like a collie x but a collie x just ticks more boxes not that this cross would be no good.

    i have no doubt in my mind that the odd whippet could take a fox but would spend more time in the sick bay healing than it would be out working the fact of the matter is it just aint humane and is more of a scrap than outright killing and it shoudnt be like that if you want to hunt foxes get a fox dog!
