    That's an infernally good question, PK! I often wonder myself how people find some of the shit they show on here! As I remember; Would you believe it started with that guy on the moterbike? Then, I think, I watched a guy on a push bike get surrounded by a couple of dozen shouty Dogs. Not sure what was next. Then that one caught my eye. The joys of You Tube / Live Leak types of sites, eh? Start out looking at bird traps and, before ye know it, ye looking at some c*** jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge! it happens to the best of us normaly very late at night

    well i bought his books and have kept them pristine in the hope that the full set would be worth a bit in many years, but by the sounds of this i should use them as kindling

    thats what i do bill, just like longnet lines but i put a couple of clove hitches in on it with rigging twine just to make shure. i did ave loads of shrink tubeing and that looked the mutts nuts on nets but its all gone now and ime to tight to buy any more

    thats the kinda rig i was thinking, i think the braided rope floats better than the twisted stuff the only thing with it is you cant splice it unless you are realy good! was that 5inch 0.35 you were useing or the 5 1/2 inch? P.S if you two get fed up of answering net questions just say lol

    what time of year did the numbers show up TC, we cant give em away when we get numers but then we only get them in patches with no real pattern to them, we get around £1 a kg for them at best!

    odd that tc as 12inch nets are often sold as turbot tangle nets i have often thort a short 6-7inch multi with lots of bag would be a good net for them, but i also us we catch a lot infact its one of the species i/we target most. most tides i would get 3 fish per 100m of trammel and its more often more rather than less, and around the 1-3kg each with the odd monster of 12-16lb showing up! i use two 4-5ft deep 5inch net of around 100m each and when set parallel to the surf the turbot are just sitting up against them on the shore side not even tangles up just sat up agains them, and a lot are los

    Good on you, I wish I was coming with you I would love to see this knob shoot an inch group off the sticks, and I would love to see how he performs out stalking, if he is in such a rush, I bet he bumps ten times more deer than he stalks into. he sounds like my shooting buddy!

    ive put a 2oz flot every 15ft and it will be set parallel to the beach (along the shore line) like all my turbot nets are so this should help with the tides like i said its made up of left overs from other nets so its no great loss if its not very good. how did you find the big mesh nest made for skate, did they catch many turbot?

    ime makeing a net from a load of left overs (more to stave off Boredom than any thing else!) its got a number 2 leadline 5ince mesh and its about 4ft deep its ment to be a tangle net kinda thing for flatfish skate/turbot and plaice. now the question is will 14mm rope have enough boyency to hold the net high enugh to fish just off bottom? or should i put a small 2oz float every 15ft? also its danish rigged and is 3 set back to one
