my old partners dog is a bull/grey first cross. he likes this type , but always has the small lightly built types . in fact the bitch last night is lighter than Tara. his old bitch from years back was a real tool on the buns. and 40's were here home terratory, in fact we should have pushed her further, but thats another story. Garn (rabbiters) the other lad. his dog is a colie/grey line bred out of plummers old line . thats the dog you can see in this pic

up the dales for the weekly pylgramage to the holy land of the bunny. my old hunting partner came and a good mate of his and there 2 inexperianced dogs, who performed reasonably well , and got a decant score each. well this new farm realy is like watership down at night there are a ridiculous amount of rabbits feeding on these fields, and running up to the fell. there looks to be a few good bits to snare and longnet as well. holy shit ! were some of these fields steep feck me i was blowing a bit. FUNNY you say that max, i was only telling mark earlier about Sally's strength's and weaknesses. although i aint seen cat work it sounds like they were of the same abilitys.

where are you lot getting this big dog thing from, miles dog is about the same size as marks, there are plenty of fen runners, saluki types especialy the bitches that are around the 23 mark. and of course marks dog stands a chance , as some one said there have been some good flash bang wallop types. the one in my avatar was just such a dog , but give the hare a minuit , then another , then start getting in to that 3 minuit terratory. its at this point most lurchers wil fade.

thanks for your comment tomo and over the yrs we have had words and fun ,i think weve gone through the lot but i have to tell you mate this occasion your so wrong beleave me its a bit like them on a site told me my dogs would never win feck all 2 10 month old pups midland champs and a champion of champions at lurcher world all the top racin they said it couldnt be done,well it was and they did it as pups i know not the same but sounds like it,we will see iam not in a habit of givin money away mate and iam definatly not stupid all the best mark AND PS TOMO ALL THAT PRICE MONEY I GAVE AWAY

mark let me just say , lamping staminar and coursing staminar are two very very very difrent things, dont get me wrong there are a few animals that can perform at both. but MOST cannot . mark i wish you well in this and i suppose credit is due for you taking on this challange, and as you say you cant realy loose because evry one expects cat to loose , and she will . there are not many little lamping dogs that will run none stop on a hare in the way a purpose bred coursing dog will, at some point they will stop and watch the quarry go in to the distance. any way good luck

i also do the same , when you say you connect straight to the battery do you keep the fuse ? i cant speak for joe , but i connect straight to batterie and dont use a fuse. i dont want any other connections between the lamp and the batterie

looked at the new mk3 collar at the midland stubby. its a small version of the 40ft terrier collar. but its far bigger than the standard mk 1 collar. fecking great bulky thing. im used to micro collars, and i thought the mk3 slim line collar that fits snug was a step in the right direction. but you will need a 3 lb hob to lug this new mk3 round underground.
