  2. Just been offer a spectre it is quite a good looking gun and nice and light the three power settings appeals to me and I quite like the cocking system. The problem is I cannot find out if it is a mk1 or a mk2 or what they are like to shoot in the field and I don't want to part with my cash before I get some info on these guns .So any advice/info would be great Cheers Folks All the best 410 PHIL

  4. NOW SOLD For sale Benjamin air source co2 power air rifle.comes with simmons 3x9x40 scope and brand new seal kit although it does not need it at the moment. Brilliant little gun two power settings and also comes with silencer adapter and I will throw in a Parker and Hale silencer this gun is in immaculate condition. You get about 200 shots from one cannister on full power and about 250 on reduced power which is 50 FPS less than full power. I will also throw in in a spare cannister of co2 So quick re-cap 1 x benjamin air source rifle 1 x 3x9x40 simmons scope 1 x silencer adapter

  12. Business is business, there is no closed season on moles... I will trap them whenever someone pays me to do so. I agree with you John business is business and I also trap moles when I am asked to it was just an observation that this period is usually my busiest so try to get as much work done in this period to make up for the lack of work during the hotter periods of the year. Anyway foxes for me for the next few weeks. All the best Phil
  13. During the hot weather as the top layers of soil start to dry out the worms move deeper down into the soil structure therefore the moles follow. I personally think that deeper tunnels are more structurally sound than surface tunnels and don't need as much maintenance and this is possibly why we don't see such high levels of mole activity during periods of hot weather. As for times of year for moleing I think most folk trap between October and March before the breeding season starts.   14. I was wondering if anyone had used a crow call to imitate an injured crow at night to try and bring in a fox to shooting range tried rabbit squeaks but having no joy. Any ideas anyone?? 410 Phil

  16. www.theflatpack.co.uk The Flatpack traps are excellent well built and most importantly they have really good strong springs unlike some cheap foreign traps that are on the market. AVOID THE BIG CHEESE LIKE THE PLAGUE THEY ARE CRAP!!! Bethel rhodes also do a good half barrel trap. Cheers Phil

  22. Well said chalkwarren This does nothing to help those of us that make a living from trapping and shooting it just gives the papers and the anti's more ammunition to try and ban everything to do with our sport and livelihoods. Completely irresponsible on the part of the hunter. 410PHIL
