    I was having a look through past posts on the subject of shooting foxes with a 410. So questions. No1 Is it feasible to shoot a fox with a 410? No2 If so which size shot? No3 What would be the effective range of the cartridge on said fox? Not about to rush out and start popping foxes with a 410. I have a 12 bore for that, just wanted to know peoples opinions/experience on the subject,thought it might make for a good thread?

    Have you tried the weihrauch silencers they are fantastic and my falcon is pretty much silent with one fitted. I also have a parker and hale silencer which is good but not as quiet as the weihrauch one Regards Phil

    You would have to be very lucky to lift a mole as its pushing best thing is a twelve bore shot into the ground on the third push failing that put the time and effort in and set your traps properly and wait,as Trappa said if it was that easy most mole catchers would be millionaires. 410 Phil WWW.MOLEBEGONE.INFO

    Hi pal I have a weihrauch silencer on my fn19 and use a length of bicycle inner tube to protect it much cheaper than neoprene or tape in fact if you need some I can post you some out after the posties go back to work. Cheers Phil

    Well said comanche,you need to eliminate suspects not add them to a list of possibles,maybe have some baits down that aren't in traps and use either sand or mud tracking techniques to determine what if anything has passed by. Mink, as stated by comanche are very transitory so a mink raft may give you an idea of the frequency of visiting mink to the area. sometimes its along haul and very frustrating but patience and learning from your mistakes can be the best experience you could ever ask for.
