Legalised Hare Coursing is never going to come back. The changes they are thinking about is solely to do with Fox Hunting, i.e. changing the sub-section of the Act from flushing to the gun with a maximum of two hounds to allow flushing to the gun with more than two hounds, and even that won't get passed as Labour, the LibDems and even a lot of Tories will vote against it. The Act will never be repealed by the Tories as I will be leapt upon by Labour as the Tories looking after their rich mates, even though that would not be the case.

A couple of landlords/ladies I've spoken to have said they absorbed previous rises by lowering their profit margin, so they won't be taking the penny off a pint, so we don't gain anything out of it ! Still, imagine if labour had still been in; there would have been 4 pence a pint added because of the beer duty escalator !! You can bet your bank managers life that would have been added and not "absorbed" !!!

Strange question. Would you prefer a 4x4 or a sports car ? Would you prefer greyhound racing or fell hound racing ? Running dogs and terriers are two completely different things.

I liked the look of this, for seeing how far the dog had run and at what speed; but thinking more about it, it would be a good prosocution aid for the police or RSPCA if you were up to no good LOL !!! -
It's a sad fact that the hunting "community" still attack each other at every opportunity; the shooters v the coursers, the Hunts v the foxing lads, even the lampers v the daywalkers !! I, personally, Hunt, shoot , fish, lamp, course, ferret, and, yes, have even been on a hare shoot !! I find it unbelievable that there are some on here, members of a HUNTING SITE, that are advocating the banning of shooting !!! They are doing the Anti's and the RSPCA's work for them ! When hunting became hated by all in the political and media elite, she stuck to her guns, (parden the pun), and continued to be a true supporter of all field sports, coursing in particular, and even went to court to defend her right to hare course. A grand woman .

Why do yo consider yourself "only a terrier man" ? Some of the best dog men in the world are terrier men . If you can feed a terrier correctly then you should have a good idea how to feed a lurcher, or any other dog. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

In the Clifton North Council By-Election, The Bus Pass Elvis Party beat the LibDems, coming 4th with more votes, pushing the LibDems into 5th place. The Bus Pass Elvis candidate, Lord Biro, said maybe his proposals to legalise brothels, (with a 30% discount for pensioners), and a government inquiry into rip off Vets prices, resonated with the electorate more than the LibDem proposals did !!! LMFAO !!! I'd rather vote for him than a LibDem any day !!!!

I think Clegg realises he has lost it already and this is just a last ditch attempt to appeal to his core vote.He has come out and said LibDems are the only party that not only wants to stay in the EU, but to have ever closer ties with them. Being home is good news. I have some experience of this, and although hospitals can give the best of treatment , being home is the best medicine ! He's a strong guy, and will get through this . A proper dog guy, one of us.

Everything is "strategic"; we don't keep the Falklands and Gibraltar because we love the people, it's because thy are strategic. Same as our sovereign bases in Cyprus, strategic. Accension Island is ours, but we rent it out to the Yanks as an air base. Russia has sovereign air and naval bases in Crimea, so why shouldn't, they defend them ? If Russia tried to take over Cyprus, as the EU are trying to do with Ukraine, wouldn't we be pissed off ?

We can now see the huge mistake our planners have made in thinking Russia wasn't a threat any more and that massive land wars were a thing of the past. Because they believed all future deployments would be "rapid response", to local hotspots or peacekeeping, they disbanded or reduced our armoured capabilities, no carrier fleet, even the Paras reduced airborne training. The army is being reduced from 120000 to 80000, and even though the TA are better trained than ever and some have combat experience, they are not, in my mind, a replacement for regular troops. Scott, "Diplomacy" is all about saying one thing, but meaning another ! They say one thing for domestic consumption and another for foreign consumption; and a slight peak at official papers may not be as accidental as it seems ! LOL ! Malt, if it came to war, Europe would be over run in days without the Americans, There really is only Britain and France with the men and materiel to fight a war and I doubt the French would want to, and we've been downsizing our forces for years.
