  1. Over the last few years the police have been OK about people shooting in and around about 10 acres of woods not far from my home but this was untill some one shot a buzzard, why a buzzard? i know this because i was on my way there today when a police van pulled up and an officer who i am on first name terms with stopped me an explained the situation and i think shooting around that area will be a no no for a few months until this blows over. why is there always someone that will ruin it for everyone? Richard
  2. Mine get almost everything that can be found in the house or that ive shot from dried ferret food to rabbits to fruit(bannana being thier favourite) and eggs and they have beautiful coats and are fairly active. Richard
  3. Gotta be south wales for me phooaaa or if not its gotta be the kent area last time i was there, there was some fit looking gunt knocking about. Richard
  4. What you have in capitals there is exactly the point of these raids, anydog is a good dog in the right hands, but the numbers of dogs in the wrong hands greatly outweighs the number in right hands and bieng the way with anything that envolves the rspca everyone gets tarred with the same brush good or bad. Richard
  5. I dont know if anybody has tried this before but hear it goes, i was think about me and a few friends who are into various forms of hunting from airgunning and shotgun shooting to ferreting getting together and putting an advertisement out on the internet or in the local paper about so called free pest control on basic pest species like rabbit, rat and corvids( dont want to offend the pro pesties out there)and then state that it will be done by shooting and trapping methods and so. i think that it may get the word out there better than going about knocking on doors and such. any thoughts on th
  6. yes i managed to shoot myself in the finger while putting a loaded gun back in its case, it just left a 22 sized hole on the inside of the finger and a hell of a lot of brusing. that was over a year ago and i still have a lot of scar tissue under the skin which hurts a lot when i catch it awkwardly on things, any tips on getting rid of scar tissue? because its doing my head in now Richard
  7. Curry is ussually used in winter not so effective in summer,in summer use ground cinnamon powder, keeps your maggots from sweating up and most fish seem to like it,works well on reds for some reason. aww right they say you learn something new every day, I dont really fish in the winter months because to me spending the night in a bivvy in minus tempraters dont sound to good Richard
  8. I think it would be a good idea to those who are already in the sport but it would make it harder for people to get into airguning im sure if they had to go through all the hasle of getting a licence they would just go through to an sgc because most people getting into airguning are just using it as a means of getting permission to shoot on land and not moving on. i dont think it would stop the idiots getting hold of air rifles because there are just too many out there and it would take way too much police time to get rid of them all and i think a lot of good quality classic air rifles would b
  9. Your going to laff but hear it goes "about 3 inches" hooked while messing about with some tiny feathers trying to catch some sand eels off some rocks in newquay last year and its the only bass ive ever caught. Richard
  10. Never tried curried maggots before, there now on my list for when the summer comes. i think the best advice for anyone would be to go down to your local fishery that you intend to fish on and ask around see what flavours people are using and dont use any of them, use something thats never been used on there before and you should be impressed with the results. ive used this method a few times before to great sucsess, i just asked what flavour boilies people were using and no one said tutti fruttie to my supprise and they were all using savoury flavours so i tried those glugged tutti fruttie boi
  11. Its a z mate. mine is " Richard thorn " original i know but i aint forking out 800 ms points just to change it Richard
  12. At 20 lbs of weight hes probably been feasting on the local foxes . i never would of thought a turkey could survive in the wild on its own. Richard
  13. Crap id say mate slow and inaccurate overall. right i dont know if this is correct but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong. this is the way i see it, if you get someone SENSIBLE to shoot near you with a flat head pellet and a normal domed pellet the flat head will be almost twice as loud this is because the flat head pellet has a higher drag co efficiency and will lose most of its velocity in the first 15 yards were the domed will keep its velocity for longer. the only advantage flat heads have over domed or pointed is it wont over penetrate because they travel relativly slowley compar
  14. you probably wont mate but every rifle and silencer combo is different i can switch from my swift air rifle silencer to my friends webley bbmf long without changing my scopes but it have heard of people scope zero changing by as much as 4 milldots when changing silencers, just get yourself some paper targets set them at the range your scope is zerod at and try. Richard
  15. See this is the sort of shit that makes my piss boil, its all ok hunting the proper way but a caged fox cub that was probably thrown straight out of its cage into the waiting mouth of a dog for fucks sake that fox had no chance of escape from the start and someones family cat like grow up ffs its not hunting this is torture, c**ts like this should be dropped into the lion enclosure at longleat because they got about the same chance of living as that cat did and then i can film it and mock the silly prick. Richard
  16. I could guess that a lot of that is true but there is some lies hidden in there such as the last six lines but if heard of "pretend hunters" just going out to kill cats same as ive seen all these track suit dog men going onto farmers and just vandalising property for no apparent reason and youre all going to be tarred with the same brush. i could probably say that the likely culprates of this hunting inside the park grounds are members on this site and nobody is doing anything to stop them, if you want to keep hunting even rabbits with lurchers you dog men need to something about it. Richa

Richard

  23. Decided yesterday while at a mates house after my confrontation with the anti to swap silencers with him for a few weeks and ive now got this moderator and i have no clue what it is its about 25-30 cm long standard 1/2 unf fitting a weighs a friggin ton compared to my swift air rifle silencer and its not even very quiet for its size its gone from an almost silent pffft sound with my swift silencer to a quiet crackling fart sound with this new one. Richard
