Not a good nights shooting I agree but yes it was a positive result as 2 foxes were shot ffs It would have been devastating it they weren't picked.

Not a brilliant night I agree but keeping it real...sometimes things go wrong. Let he who has never missed or fecked up cast the 1st stone. Both foxes were picked, 1 last night and the other this morning so a positive result in the end. Just wish I had been shooting, would have had all 7 ?

That's the thing though he can shoot, that C50 has been the biggest mistake buying.

I agree foxes do deserve respect that is why we tried different rifles and then packed in when the night was a disaster. I had seen enough and decided to finish and come back another night.

Yes he is usually a very good shot, dont know what was happening but that C50 has been nothing but trouble.

What a nightmare last night was ? Went over my mates place where he knew was some Cubs. Out with his .22/250 and C50. On entering the field I spotted 2 Cubs immediately with the thermal but not a safe shot , then spotted a 3rd which I coaxed in to around 60 yds , my mate missed it with 2 shots ? playback of video shows he was on for both shots , had nothing but trouble with this C50. Went back to his and got .243 out , soon into another fox and again missed with 2 shots ( later discovered 2nd shot had hit it's back leg ) By now I was losing the will to live as there was foxes sc

Just thought I would check the wheat stubble I shot on Sunday thinking there would be nothing on it and guess what about 150 woodies on it. So looks like another trip there tomorrow ?

Just sat out on the stubble for a few hours and dead as a dodo .. These were the only 9 birds that came close, still always a result when the crows get thinned ? Out tonight on the foxes so hopefully get a result too.

I was thinking of getting a semi auto for the geese and corvids as like the idea of that extra 3rd shot. I've never held or shot one so any recommendations? Just want something cheap that is pointable and reliable. Any ideas ?

Yep ...why would a woodie have to crossbreed I mean there is no shortage of mates.

Some camps say it is possible but unlikely in this case as no ferals in the area. It was just a woodpigeon with strange colouration ?

It was another cracking afternoon , birds decoyed brilliantly and I shot well. I've shot 853 birds so far this year off this farm and still a few about.

Wheat stubble today 155 birds including an unusual woodie... It was that hot I think I was a bit dehydrated ?
