  1. I used waxed paper, it's pretty good besides blocking the drains every few months then I have to get Dyno Rod out to jet them which does my f*****g head in!!!! I've tried duvets etc in the past but they always seemed damp. The lads who use duvets, ok you dry your dog before you put them away like all decent dog lads would but what do you do when they are walking in and out from a wet run floor? Or have you trained them to wipe their feet? Lol
  2. Maybe a fan speed control would do the trick with out knowing the load and full details it's hard to advise you really. Just pop into Maplin they should be able to help you out.
  3. Maplins will be your best bet what voltage is the incubator? 230V?
  4. I'd take some of that programme with a pinch of salt, he came up this way a few years ago for one of his programmes and as expected nobody would entertain him, until he started throwing cash about. All the bullshitting arseholes soon came out the wood work telling him exactly what he wanted to hear Glasgow is no different to any other big UK city.
  5. me lad got buddy x three qaurter bull bred he match any body on lamp der fox hare rabbit fox any land Any pictures pal? sounds a tidy animal
  6. I have a Honda Big Red just fuel up and away you go, they're bomb proof !!!! Although it's only a 2 wheel drive i've never had any problems getting stuck except for one occassion when I bottomed it out in deep tractor ruts.
  7. Anybody use these two simultaneously? or could it cause problems?
  8. What happens when you want to adjust the beam?
  9. Just remember good rest is just as important as good excercise, I dont think id do that much with a dog of that age.
  10. Number goes straight to answer phone pal, thanks anyway
  11. Anybody know of a reliable dog transporter?
  12. I've tried working my dogs without a slip but I've always been much more successful using one. My dogs are fairly steady and will stay within a reasonable distance to me off the lead but as soon as I lamp a bunny they will take off and spend a lot of the time chasing lost causes or being called back while the more realistic targets make their escape.
  13. Good stuff, dog looks in fine fettle
  14. GOT A FEW YOUNGSTERS THAT COME OUT WITH ME , GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY AND REARED THE CORRECT WAY REGARDING THE PLEASE'S, THANKYOU'S ETC PAYS DIVIDENDS.. RESPECT GOES A LONG WAY Good to hear mate, just need a few more like yourself to protect the future of our sport
  15. Yes i can see your point regarding tradition/lurchers But i has gone wayyyyyyyy beyond that now, less land to hunt and a great many more people hunting, people do not hunt because they need the food any more, in fact most people do not hunt for any other reason than bragging rights Moll if you read back what you have just typed surely you can see that it could quite easily be something that an anti would say? I dont hunt for bragging rights, I dont hunt purely for pest control, I enjoy working my dogs for no other reason at all. Its only been 7 years since the ban and people
  16. I thought there have been a few silly posts on this thread but this one takes the biscuit  In your little world have you never seen or heard any of the above So any kid getting into the game shouldnt bother because he has nowhere to go? the future will be grim for our sport if all kids threw the towel in for this reason So hare coursing was banned because it was attracting the wrong sort of participants? .............. Why was fox hunting banned then? The point I was trying to make was that not all people who stray across boundrys are idiots Is it just me or d

  19. To be fair it may take time and effort but im sure they would get some permission, some of my permission i have now i gained when i was 14 yrs old, i used to get round the local farms and knock on doors, always dressed respectful, none of this trackies and trainers, always spoke politely anyhow its funny how quick you can rack up permission when you have been on one spot in the area it is getting your foot in the door, Its always good to have a bit of common ground like when i ask for permission i will usually just mention i beat on whoevers and do pest control on wherever. Its all about attit

  21. Did you try the " menacing violence " route ? ....worked for me ...............No,i agree with what your saying Redcharge i had enough trouble trying to get a foot in the door so to speak.... just lucky i have such good looks and charismatic charm ......but i can imagine how tough some spotty 16 year old herbert might find it......no matter how genuine they are. Most of the farmers and keepers are hard as nails around here mate, they have to be to deal with the lunatics if I tried intimidating them I'd probably walk away not only disheartened but nursing a broken jaw  :laugh
  22. I know its not all about what you can get out of people I offered beating or work (spark) F.O.C in return for the odd day or nights pest control and was turned down by them all. This is turning into a bit of a sob story now but the point I have been trying to make is that not all lads who jump over the fence are arseholes
  23. It's difficult to comment as I don't know you or your area but is there any land that isn't keepered? Just a thought but if you could find a farm and offered the farmer a bit of rabbiting you might get yourself a bit of land and from small acorns............................................ I have bits of land but it gets a bit of hammering from lads who are struggling themselves, I cant really grumble as I was in the same boat as them a couple of years back
