  1. Cheers mate. He wasn't my first choice, I had the money saved for a mike brown whippet. I saw him advertised as free from a rescue because he was 9 years old. f**k knows why we went to see him, something about him. I couldn't stand the thought of some chivvy div using him to pose with because of his looks so my conscience got the better of me and we bunged the rescue £100. He had zero training and I truly regretted it for about 4 months. It was like taking a wild street dog into your home. He's my first dog and I've never seed anything so stubborn. I changed my approach and bought a prong coll
  2. Mine is a rescue coming up to 11 years old now. I wish I could of had him from a pup and got him stock broken to work him proper. He's enjoying a good retirement now instead!

  6. That clown in the tight pants reminds me of Ricky from trailer park boys
  7. I had one for a hernia in my groin a few years back before it was diagnosed properly! The injection site was right where my sack joined my groin! It was epic to say the least
  8. Ridiculous isn't it, done for rat poaching!
  9. So it costs you over £120 a year to get a booster, worm and flea treatment for one dog? That sounds a bit dear to me? Flea treatment and wormers for one dog would be cheaper off the internet companies. I will only use advocate flea treatment, it's really good stuff. You're right, it is cheaper online but you need a prescription which costs money and will only let you order 6 months worth. It works out exactly the same. That £11 a month is for health check every 6 months as well and if he is sick or injured you get 15% off consultation and medicine. TBH I think it's a good deal myself
  10. Does your vets or any in your area offer a 'health club?' Mine does, for a little over a tenner a month I get a monthly dose of advocate flea treatment, quarterly wormers, 2 health checks a year and his annual booster all for that price. Also get 15% off appointments and medicines. It saves some money if your vet or one near you does a similar service
  11. I get bags of minced chicken carcasses from a meat whole seller and pet mince from a local butcher which is made of beef off cuts. I also buy large chickens from aldis and cut them into 6 pieces and I feed him the occasional spare rib. Any veg table scraps and a bit of pasta and mashed potato, egg, mackerel, liver and heart. What I do is give him 3% of his weight per day. So for an 18.5 kg staff he gets 525g of meat and bone a day. Weigh the chicken first, then make up the weight with mince, egg, tinned mackerel, bit of liver etc. easy peasy!
  12. He's a staffy mate. Got him in February from a rescue centre. He is aggressive with anything that isn't a dog
  13. I'm sure it's his cats that set him off during the day, the cheeky feckers even try coming into our house if the downstairs windows are open.
  14. He definitely doesn't bark non stop. Hes 9 years old and I walk him an hour before work at a fast pace up hills etc and give him a good feed. I can't record him at the moment because my laptop is broke.
  15. I recorded him in the day for 2 weeks after the first complaint. He would probably have 3 or 4 bursts of barking but he was growling as well. I've got a feeling his 4 cats are going in my garden and making home bark. Video evidence me thinks!
  16. I was just thinking from invasion of privacy point of view, walls aren't exactly thick and they might pick up our naughty conversations! To be fair I don't know what the specific complaint is. They have complained before about him barking at night, only happened when we went out on the lash and left him home. He was waking their kids. Now I leave him round my folks house if we go out for the night. I spoke to the council and he was fine with this so I thought it was sorted. Feck knows what this complaint is about, surely they can't do much about him barking between 9 - 5?
  17. Hey guys. I've received a complaint to the council from my neighbours (we f*****g hate each other) about my dog barking. My specific question is if the council are going to record us from the neighbours house, do they have to notify us before they do?
  18. He is neutered skycat. Whenever it happens close to me I always get the dog off him, but the problem is he's so friendly he runs off quite far to see other dogs and it takes me too long to get to him. The only reason it has caused me concern is there is a woman who walks a big, useless old english sheepdog which always tries to do it. She told me that my dog is the only one that it has ever done it to and its a busy place with dog walkers. Same with my mum's mate, she walks a weimeramer (spelling) thats avoids dogs, but she told me that my dog is the only one that he has ever tried mounting
  19. Hahaha I knew someone would say that! I know he don't like it mate because some days he will have a growl and a snap at dogs that try it. I'm just concerned that there might be something wrong because he seems to be a target to boisterous dogs. Don't get me wrong I don't want a snarling staffy, but feck me he's a male dog and should be giving them hell for trying it on! Maybe it's the shampoo I use on him?!
  20. Hi everyone. I rescued a 9 year old staffy back in February and it was the best this I've done this year. Only thing that bothers me is the amount of dogs that mount him when he is off lead and he does nothing to stop and stands there looking scared. I know he isn't happy and it pisses me off because to me that is aggressive behaviour by the other dogs which leads to me having to grab them by the collar and launch them off him. I don't want him to be aggressive, it's just strange the amount of dogs that do it, like they can sense something is wrong with him. Just wondering if anyone had an
  21. Well I'm watching this programme on Channel 5, I can't f*****g believe this government! It's ok to have leopards in your back garden and crocodiles in your back bedroom, but if I was to walk down the street with a pitbull I would be strung up by the balls! Madness lads!
