  1. I'm looking for a Hawke 30mm tube sidewinder 6-24x56. I'm not interested in a cash purchase. Looking to swap for any one of the spotter choices or the scopeless rig you see on this table: What have you? I would add a Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x50 MD to the spotter if a 56mm Sightron is available. Any other 56mm objective scope with side PA may be considered. I've tried elsewhere and had offers of smaller scopes but it will save going down the same road if I explain my requirement is to check the 67mm lens of the integrated illuminator of the Spotter-Add-On rig on the
  2. Well what a read - I think I saw Jeremy Kyle logged in watching this earlier.
  3. Half decent weather allowed me to get out and make a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbLNOu0UaGk.
  4. Shame to have to say this but goods sold postage needs to have full tracking these days to defeat the occasional skunk who claims non delivery because the postie didn't bother getting a signature and knows the buck doesn't stop with him for recorded delivery. Skunks eat into overall profits making the sale non viable. Full tracking costs more because every time it changes hands the new handler is responsible for it. I've been ripped off several times sending items recorded but never again. I have not had anything go AWOL with RMSD. My minimum RMSD postage is £7 - and £10 for a night vi
  5. Here is another but IMO neither are very good in comparison to a Lawmate that costs about another £200 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Automatic-Upgrade-2-4G-Mini-5-LCD-Wireless-HD-DVR-Camera-Motion-detect-Monitor-/281724641046?hash=item419818df16:g:vkMAAOSwBLlVfQxu
  6. Here is one of my new spotters with 5" HD monitor and genuine KPC E700 low light cameras. Because the superior camera can sometimes be used in a spotter without an illuminator there are two switches. The upper switch powers only the cam and monitor. The lower switch is for the illuminator and works just like the tail switch of the torch: Half press to change the power level and full press to lock on. Switches have a visual reference - if the IR button is 'in' you left it on. The rear has an additional ABS sheet solvent welded to the inside of the box which makes the mounting very sol
  7. Posted PMSD today, expect before 1PM tomorrow - thanks Rich. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Harris: I PM'd you 12th Nov on the NVF but you have not picked up the message nor made any follow up on either forum - please let me know if you have been waiting for the end of month payday. The machinist that made those bodies for me is very unreliable - so there may not be any more after the remaining five are gone. I'll post this on the NV forum too because I don't know which - if any you are likely to visit in the next few
  8. Hi John, I replied to your post and PM on the NVF - assuming you are the same John Harris? The post over there was in regard to one with a 5" Monitor though. It would be best to limit the private messages and on forum posts in regard to it to only one of the forums so I don't get mixed up lol. Here or there is up to you mate.
  9. I've had to pay more for the new batch, they are now £220 collected or £230 posted RMSD to UK postal addresses.
  10. Funds and postal address received thank you Jamie. Its packed - expect to sign for before 1PM on Friday.
  11. A dedicated 'some bloke' truck spotter with a choice of 35mm for mainly rabbit - or 50mm C mount lenses for mainly fox. 50mm lens supplied by default if buyer does not specify. A 5" HD monitor can also be specified. These have a very robust saddle clamp for a compact (single cell) 25mm/1" tubed illuminator, not supplied: Spotters don't need as much IR as add-on rigs, and most NV users will have a small one tucked away somewhere. All you will need to use is a T38 - or even a humble 501b if it has the new 'AS LED in it. With rain shelter fitted... because adjustable lenses a
  12. The Photon(s) represent brilliant value for money IMO - and if you buy new online from a business supplier you get a few days to try it and return it for any or no reason at all. They have a massive three years warranty too. EDIT: i think you might need adjustable mounts for it though so cost those into the overall price - and a T38 too.
  13. Oops - dunno how I missed that mad4it - sorry. They are £210 posted RMSD to UK postcodes.
  14. These truck spotters can now be ordered with a 7" HD monitor at £220 collected - or 230 posted RMSD in the UK.
  15. LED's strike up a lot faster and can sometimes spook where a slower startup might not have been so harsh on quarry eyes. Also the light spill from 'reflector'd LED lamps seems bounce back off any moisture in the air a little more harshly - causing the user to squint more than the softer light of Halogen bulbs. Aspheric lensed ones avoid that spill so do not cause any loss of the users natural nite-eyes
  16. I've been meaning to record this video for ages and finally got round to it. Basically, if you have the means to aim your illuminator slightly high you can generally use a little less light, get more range and be a tad more more covert. https://youtu.be/tAYz4AoBtwY
  17. that price included shipping? Hi Baigon - they are each £210 shipped RMSD.
  18. Two only ATM: E700 camera based SLR lens Night Vision Spotters with choice of carriers. £200 + £10 RMSD or collect. These are offered with a choice of carrier options: Tripod with extendable legs, can also be used as a handle. Solid machined handle. Suction mount to fit to roof or window of truck Lightforce/Deben remote handle adaptor. The used 50mm M42 thread SLR lens takes in more light with a better quality image than the budget C mount lenses normally used for spotters: hardly surprising because they originally cost about a weeks wages when they were made. They are also
  19. I'm considering hosting an impromptu NV meet this Sat night at East Leicester, if anyone is interested I'll start a thread on it.
  20. Had a bit of a session with my screen mounted suction NV spotter: The spotter details are here: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/345951-vehicle-night-vision/
  21. Have to say that's stumped me, I'm not aware of any DVR/NV rig that would be connected via a usb cable. I can only assume there is a camera with a name that sounds similar to that DVR. I'd think its fair to at least indicate what the NV rig is - which might give us a clue as to who the vendor is without actually giving a name. I'm curious about why you looked at anything that is not used by at least some NV users - well I'm assuming that's the case.
