    Hi mate, the original batteries supplied by deben are Rayovac 393 Quartz batteries, Ebay will be your best bet but whatever you do don't be tempted to buy a cheaper alternative.

    bidding on a couple on ebay aswell, philips ones, they are the only ones with vertical filament

    Ok guys, thought I would get a spare bulb for my lamp just in case anything happened while I was out and about and I have bought the wrong one from fleabay, i have bought a osram HLX 64635 which was stated as being a genuine lightforce replacement bulb however the filament is horizontal which will give a flat beam where The original bulb has a vertical filament, where can I get a spare replacement bulb that has a vertical filament either osram or not?     my dad makes a one with rabbit portions, onions, pearl barley, black pudding and gravy then finishes off with a nice shortcrust gravy. he always manages to guess the right amount of each ingredient so it's not too runny and not too stodgy, I eat everything apart from the rabbit so he sometimes puts a few chops and sausages in for me LOL

    Bit of a change for you that Mr Brimmer, not been out ferreting yet this year but got a feeling it wont be long, loads and loads of rabbits kicking about but been doing a job on a golf course with rimfires and air rifles with the lamp way ooop north, Must get on my permissions very soon.

    working for now as a temporary measure thank you. just didn't want to leave the battery almost flat until I sourced a new fuse.

    Hi guys and girls, does anyone know where i can buy replacement fuses for the deben battery pack please or even know what size they are, had my lamping trip cut short last night due to a blown fuse, All I know is the fuse is a 15amp quick blow and the battery is deben 12v 20ah. Found some places online but not willing to pay over 6 quid postage and something so small. Cheers, JB

    alright mate, cheers for the reply , use a red filter as it is and the lamp is opened up a bit so it's not a full on beam. usually what happens though is when scanning about for rabbits they see the light and are off like a shot, the ones that stay put are very wary of it so we tend to have the lamp just to the edge of them but enough to still see through the scope.

    Hi guys and girls the rabbits on local permission are becoming a bit wary of the lamp and I have a feeling it's a bit too bright for them it's a lightforce 170 with 12v 20ah battery pack, i have noticed the dimmer switch available but was wondering if changing bulb to something lower than 100w might help? also would any of the above increase the battery life on a nights lamping? don't want to go down the route of chopping wires from lamp etc etc, any advise much appreciated, Cheers, JB

    Agree with that, it was one of my first bivvies and it's a truly awesome bit of kit, I have since had probably 4 or 5 bivvies since i sold it and there's still the odd occasion i regret selling it, failing the STI-r have a look for the JRC twin skin
