    anyone ever used them to work with? either as pointing dogs or running dogs? I have one here and he is built like a whippet but never took him out as he gets off the lead and just runs and runs, hence i always take out my flat coated retriever but he is starting to frustrate me by being noisy and fetching nothing but rotten old dead rabbits back that he has found

    Really don't understand what went on today, Me and Col who has also just joined this site hit our patch of woodland in pursuit of some bunnies, thought we would delve into some new parts as the woods is totally massive, got the the first lot of sets to discover they were occupied by foxes so moved on, found plenty of good well used sets, fresh footprints and droppings everywhere, netted up got ferrets down and nothing, moved on again nothing lots of signs of activity on all the sets we ferreted and Cols dog was marking them well so we thought we would at least get something, all day not a sing

    try again Hello boys and girls, newbie from tyne and wear here Just getting back into the sport from a little break, always been a hunter starting off rough shooting for pheasants, partridge etc etc with shotguns, then moved onto air rifles shooting rats and rabbits, went back to shotguns decoying pigeons, then went onto working ferrets, sadly lost my land due to the farmer supposidly selling it off for housing development so took up clay pigeon shooting, last year sold all my guns and equipment to take up carp fishing and now the winter is upon us i've found myself out ferreting with
