  1. shot one last week and it's intestines were riddled with tapeworm, not a pretty site. that rabbit was wasted, well unless the fox fancied digging it up.
  2. Still getting them here aswell
  3. Excellent going there. how long before you buy a longnet?
  4. I have a albino jill that i will be working this year she is just under 1 year old and she still has the odd nip at me, I have had ferrets almost all my life she is handled every day but it's just a friendly nip as I think she gets excited and wants to play. she is the first ferret I have had that I have reared myself that has done this to me, i wont give up on her when she nips I just put my finger in her mouth and press down on it she has a little bit chew then she is no bother after that until the next time I go to pick her up, pretty sure she will grow out of it and hopefully once she gets
  5. Cheaper, but will come off the ferret very easy if you don't change the strap to a leather one. Battery life is the same as the Mk3M and operation is exactly the same. Only different you have to take the batteries out between outings rather than use the magnet to turn it on and off. Don't go for the Mk2 collars unless you are happy changing the batteries every week. They have a battery life of only 30 hours compared with 300 hours for the Mk3 and Mk3M. Yep, I learned that after digging my collar out from 8ft with probably 1 foot of snow on the ground aswell, couldn't believe it when
  6. That's a bog standard mk3 ferret collar mate, It's what i use but replaced the watch strap type collar for a nice leather one
  7. lol, how on earth can you tell that from that pic. there could be drains, steep banking, impossible digging ground etc well done mate, good catch there, you must have been one of the 1st to get aT them, if you had that many out of just a cpl of warrens.. keep up the good work. Stop being sarcastic, Maybe I should of put "Looks 100 times easier to ferret than my land" Oh and he has already replied that is is nice and easy so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!
  8. Excellent, looks nice easy land to ferret that

  14. never had any bother with straw when i have had no choice to use it, I have this year had a small problem with a few batches of hay which was totally full of thistles and nettles and obviously no good for ferrets, going to go back to my pet food and horse food place and buy a big bale at a time.
  15. I agree, as tempting as it might be it's poaching, there's some very good looking sets surrounding some of my permission but I can never get hold of the land owner, until then those tempting looking sets are out of bounds
  16. Good luck mate, there's nowt round here, we have to drive roughly 1 hour Sometimes more either direction (apart from east) to be in with a chance...

  19. Cheers KOT, my lurcher likes to chew the ears and feet off, dont know why Bouncer likes to carry them for me then put them down and give them a good wash LOL Has Bouncer worked the longnet out this year He won't get the chance mate to be honest, his eyesight is going now anyway as he is getting on a bit, the last few years he has had 5 life saving operations and several hernias so he has to take it easy. had him out on the lamp for the first time a few weeks ago and he managed to catch a runner lol, he was well chuffed. I will only take him out now "IF" I go l
