  3. This Hob ferret does it all the time wherever we go, we have a lot of stubborn bunnies, wait until you see the picture
  4. we found the hemp ones did but the thin nylon ones were fine the rabbits just wouldn't bolt today, too cold i guess.
  5. Nice one, wish we had weather like that today instead of 4 foot of snow.
  6. It was the young lads choice to run away and leave stuff behind, I would of done the same, if they had stayed I would of had a word and moved them on with thier gear.
  7. aye, not impressed with the mk3 collars at all going to look and see idf there is anything else available, had 2 digs for them today, one at about 1 foot and one at 5 foot Grrrrr we managed 8 but lost loads due to not being able to see the bolt holes which have a nice thin layer of snow over them ready for them to explode out, not many rabbits bolted they just sat in the entrance of the holes looking out at the nets.
  8. Col took a few pics so they should follow

  13. I appreciate that this is a open forum and you are entitled to your opinion and free speech but is there really any need for that abuse? tell ya what, call me a pussy, dull or a halfwit to my face because i wont use a ferret on rats and see what happens rather than being brave sat behind your computer screen...
  14. Using ferrets on rats ruins them! I wouldn't risk the ferret picking up something nasty from a bite or scratch.
  15. Good point, anyone want a drink of scotch and a chocolate???
  16. Just thought it would be a nice gesture as a way of saying thanks for the permission to give him a little gift, a bottle of whiskey and a box of belgian chocolate liquors, he doesn't eat rabbits as we offered him some before, could work out expensive in the long run as the permission list gets longer but I suppose it's a small price to pay for a good hobby
  17. Farmer phoned, all ok, quite a bit of snow up there but that wont stop us
  18. thanks for the reply mate, i'll bear you in mind for the next few month P&P could be a problem though.

  20. what colour and size are these boilies? have you used them at all and had any fish with them? are they shelf life or frozen and how much for 1 kilo?
  21. I hope Col doesn't mind me saying this but I feel I had to do something as I could see how losing his ferrets affected him (I've had to leave ferrets before and it's not nice) and thought he was going to pack in ferreting, not only that though I didn't have a ferret locator or collar as they way we worked the ferrets never let us down, we used to put jills down with no collars then if anything happened the big randy hob went down with the collar on and give us the mark as to where they were so we couldl dig, now that way let us down once and we aren't taking the chance again, also I nearly los
  22. without a locator you wouldn't of got your rabbit
  23. I'm getting my 2 jills spayed, 40 quid each.
