  3. Sort me a bag out for tomorrow Col will ya? I've used the last of mine today and also padlocked up my hutch, just waiting for a pole cat hob now then you can look after the babies in your many hutches
  4. Col didn't want to go but I sweet talked him round, we are staying local as there is a couple of likely looking sets that need a ferret down spoiled for choice, the patch we are going on is steep banks and gorse bushes galore so we will be ripped to shreads more than likely, anything over 1 rabbit tomorrow will be a bonus
  5. Nice one mate, I'm with Brimmer aswell, I wouldn't kill a youngun or even a milky doe (unless the farmer really really wanted rid) I'd be tempted to pick off the rabbits with a air rifle, when's your next outing then? and where's the pictures???
  6. I use olive oil, but just a few drops at a time, if its as good for ferrets as it is for us it wont do any harm
  7. It's supposed to drive ferrets wild, like catnip is to cat's, never heard of the stuff until i joined this forum and have no intention of ever using it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ferretone-Ferret-Foo...Q2em118Q2el1247
  8. HAHA Well I for one have never had a ferret properly bite me, had loads and loads of nips from kits and younguns. would a ferret bite a finger off??? Pretty sure of a ferret was locked onto my finger and chomping through bone I would do something about it no matter how much I like the ferret
  9. don't wash ferrets mate, but here's a useless fact, ferrets are great swimmers
  10. No such thing as a lost cause, all ferrets should be ok in the correct hands
  11. Do away with the gloves mate, Col got 2 ferrets last week that had never been handled, I had them like putty in my hands within 15 minutes, keep lifting them in and out of the cage, also my old trick is to force my finger into it's mouth and keep it there for a few seconds while wiggling it around, sounds daft but it work, ask Col! Just got to be brave and don't show them you are scared, don't make any sudden movements and let them see your hand going to pick them up, once you have them in your hands slowly stroke them from the head down to the tail and hold them against your body to relaxe th
  12. My Jill bit me for the first time the other day, she wass down a hole getting stuck into a rabbit when i stuck my hand in, it still hurts now but I've forgiven her just give her a chance and she will get used to the nets.
  13. no mate, thats not the norm, tell him to get stuffed.... It's his responsibility as a land owner to get rid of the rabbits, if not he will have to pay someone to come and remove them for him.
  14. we didn't put a ferret anywhere near that set mate, I had a scan with the mk3 but no luck, the bunnies have moved back in so the ferrets must of moved elsewhere.
  15. My dad said that Buck didn't want to part with it's skin, he had to do half of it last night and finish it off today, bet it's yough as old boots to eat
  16. apparantly Deben don't have anything to do with the mk1 locators now.
