Think of the land you will be working on and how long you want to be out lamping for me I like Border collie/Greyhound they make alround working dogs at the end of the day its up to you there are some good breeds to go for some like Bull/Greyhound, Deerhound/Greyhound, Bedlington/Greyhound and the Whippets and the Whippet cross

We have had all this before what type of Lurcher is best for this job and best for that job who cares if you want it for rabbiting all if you are doing alot of ferreting get a Bedlington/Whippet all a Whippet if you only want lamp for rabbits go for a Greyhound cross if you want to ferret and lamp hunt around in the day go for a Collie/Greyhound x all a Deerhound/Greyhound all both like me I got a Deerhound/Greyhound/Whippet if you are hunting fox I go for a Bullx all a Weatonx at the end of the day it is up you you have to live with it for the best part of 12 plus years

  7. I think all down to the size and power of the dogs I like to give the bull/whippet a go I think they make cracking rabbiting lurchers I go for a 3/4 whippet 1/4 bull than a first x
  8. I got all the lamper dvds I dont know how bred the little bitch im not a big fan of the bullx but I do like this bull/Whippet

  10. when im sart retrieve training for the first time I sit down in the pup bed I sart with a kid little teddy when the pup gos and fetch the teddy it will go the its bed I reward the pup for a full retrieve the recall looks ok you are doing the right thing going in the other direction the sit, down, stay, will get there in the end keep working at them and your pup will be a well trained dog all the best with the training THANKS FORDIE
  11. I go for a colliex any day had them for years I got a 4 month Deerhound/Greyhound/Whippet pup tha I be taking Rabbiting next season bred out of two very good Rabbiting dogs

  16. Its a common thing with bullx lurchers but it dont stop them working

  19. I have a 9 week old Deerhound/Greyhound/Whippet dog pup his dam a Deerhound/Greyhound the sire is full laguna Whippet I think Mike browns line is laguna/sooty-sam they are a very good line THANKS FORDIE

  21. I onley have Collie x Deerhound x and Bedlington x this type of lurchers are old type it like im saying it all to do with money making

  23. You tell me NATACC people today breed sh**t to make money there a few good dogs out there with good lurchermen but not many
